Best Cruise Ship Desserts

I agree with their Regent pick, but sadly, they did not include a picture.

I frequently order an espresso coffee, a scoop of ice cream and occasionally a shot of something interesting (!) as an affogato alternative to dessert too!

Had Crystal been on the list, my choice would have been the  Tapioca Soup with Fresh Lychee and Matcha Ice Cream, from Silk.

I enjoy the evening soufflés in the Compass Rose.  Instead of the sauces provided, I have been asking for a shot of a liquer.  Orange soufflé with Grand Marnier and a chocolate soufflé with Bailey’s.

Our go to dessert in Pacific Rim is generally the Coconut Tres Leches. 

 

But the Chocolate Indulgance does look spectacular, think we may need to give it a try next time!

I wonder if the Regent chefs will manage to recreate the new UK dessert, Lemon & Amaretti Trifle, in time for our Jubilee celebrations in early June?

Funny I just mentioned this to the wife, as we are doing the round Britain cruise on Splendor that ends on jubilee Thursday, what a spectacular treat that would be on the last night.

Yes, it would be nice touch if Regent arranged for the Jubilee dessert to be available on cruises visiting U.K. ports this year.

The ingredients are readily available and it is not difficult to prepare.

Okay, not really a dessert, but I have to say that the sorbets on the Chef's Tasting menu were absolutely delightful on our Splendor TA cruise!  Different every night!

In Compass Rose?

We always have the sorbet of the evening as an intermezzo, very refreshing.
