Rare Fly and Sail Posted May 18, 2022 #2 Share Posted May 18, 2022 Very sad. Last week there was a couple arguing on the Solstice at night and there were some bad scenes including out on the deck (5). I thought about such a situation and unfortunately this week some tragedy happened. 😞

Dolebludger Posted May 18, 2022 #4 Share Posted May 18, 2022 I think there have been instances where somebody who was extremely drunk or doped fell overboard, but that is rare.

Somewhere out there will be friends/relatives now dealing with the consequences of this and I wouldn't like to just leave them with your two alternatives... zackarykeef Posted May 18, 2022 #6 Share Posted May 18, 2022 The heights of the ship sides are designed at a height strategically to prevent people from falling overboard. No one is that top-heavy, and the body’s center of balance and gravity would prevent it. Like those mentioned before, there are three options: self-intended, someone else-intended, or “accidentally” while misbehaving. 9

kathy49 Posted May 18, 2022 #19 Share Posted May 18, 2022 Alaska Cruises tend to get older passengers and not really a party crowd. Have to wonder what happened. Sounds like suicide.
