Very sad. Last week there was a couple arguing on the Solstice at night and there were some bad scenes including out on the deck (5). I thought about such a situation and unfortunately this week some tragedy happened. 😞

People do not fall overboard on ships.  They either jump or are pushed.

... or were doing something risky without the intent to jump...

Somewhere out there will be friends/relatives now dealing with the consequences of this and I wouldn't like to just leave them with your two alternatives...

The heights of the ship sides are designed at a height strategically to prevent people from falling overboard. No one is that top-heavy, and the body’s center of balance and gravity would prevent it. Like those mentioned before, there are three options: self-intended, someone else-intended, or “accidentally” while misbehaving.

Whatever the reason and whatever the cause very tragic for all.  Puts a real downer on the rest of the cruise for all concerned and for the family at home. Very sorry and saddened to hear this.

It happened in the middle of the night and the reports say there is camera footage of it. I wonder if they will release what actually happened.

The article say's a person can survive in 41 degree water for 6.19hrs.  Yea right...how about under 30 minutes tops.

Clearly you haven’t seen “Titanic”
