Elite Plus discounts?

When we were Elite, the spa personnel automatically deducted 10% from my spa prices. So I assume they will do the same with my now Elite + 15% discount. We always had a discounted rate from specialty restaurants, so never questioned the Elite 10% there. Is it difficult to get the specialties to recognize the Elite + 15% discount? Last cruise the specialties were NOT offering any discounts so I expect this to be the norm in the future, and of course the rates were just raised a month  or so ago.  So I would like to be able to take advantage of the Elite + 15% discount on future cruises.

You have to press the spa to apply this..discuss before treatment and get price in writing! They try to weasel out of it and also the  port pricing deals.., esp Canyon Ranch

We also had unpleasantness on one cruise with the E + dining discount on Infinity on a Pacific Coastal cruise   We informed maitre d as we entered..he pretty much called me a liar and I had to go back to the cabin for the E+ perks paper. Still he did not believe and spent our entire dinner calling around to verify and confirm. Made for a very unpleadant dinner. Eventually guest rel  straightened it out a day or two larer with an apology but by then we cancelled ALL if our speciaty dining res for that cruise..  it was bizarre!

No issues with gelato, specialty coffee, internet or laundry.

We booked 2 specialty restaurants pre cruise.  When I called to book the rep said that the MaitreD would credit back the discount when we went to the restaurant.

We told the waiter when we went to Roof Top Grill and he it would be taken care of, same with Eden. Since we had paid when we booked with a credit card ( and no slip to sign at dinner) we didn’t realize until we were home and the credit  card bill showed neither discount was processed.

On the other hand we went to Le Grand Bistro for lunch one day and forgot to mention the E+ discount.  When the waiter brought the check he said I see you are E+ so I applied your discount.

seems to work if you hook on the ship but not booking before the cruise.

I guess I will jump in -- we were on the Eclipse in April.  We dined in Murano, Tuscan Grill and Sushi on 5.  Our Zenith discount was always applied without asking.

Did you book on board or before boarding?

Like the discount for internet it isn’t applied automatically….that is, the computer booking system does not recognize Captains Club tiers.  It takes a human to do that.  Either by phone before the cruise or in person during the cruise.

We did call to book our reservations and the rep said she couldn’t do the discount on dining, that and spa would be applied on the ship.  She did offer to upgrade the wi-to & beverage package.

Just wondering if its because most passengers are booking AI,  that Free internet minutes are not applied?

When you first sign on to WiFi it gives you the choice of using your free Elite minutes or the AI package. The Elite minutes are at the streaming rate and if you accept that option you have to use all the minutes first then swop to AI pricing.

It would  be nice if you could book through the cruise planner and they would apply the discount at the restaurant as we were told.  Our last cruise there were  no reservations to be had on the ship for either Eden or Fine Cut.

I was not aware of a 10% discount for Elite at Specialty Restaurants.  May have overlooked it.

There were guys wandering around the ship offering better discounts than 10% for specialty restaurants.

Celebrity provides a letter in your stateroom with all your Elite and/or Elite+ discounts when you board.

It is a 2 page document.  Click on the white arrow on the  middle right side of tge screen and that goes to page2

I don't see a 10% discount on Page 2.  Do you see a 10% discount for Elite at the Specialty Restaurants?

If you are Elite Plus and dine in the specialist Restaurants make sure each person at the table hands over their cabin card otherwise you will not get the discount on both or more diners.

I thought that both passengers in a cabin received the highest level of benefits..even if the sailing companion was at a lower loyalty level...is that not correct?

You are correct the speciality dining discount starts at E+.

I was wondering if I had been missing a discount all these years!    Usually I am able to get some. type of discount in any case.  Thank you for checking!

We were on Apex in Feb and booked Eden while still at home. On embarkation day they had a table set up near Guest Services with someone available to apply the CC discounts to dinner reservations.
