So does your sea pass card that says pinnacle member…. I understand it’s natural to want to defend yourself. But the reality is there’s no need to wear the pinnacle pin unless you’re trying to brag because everything you claim to get from the pin all you Gotta do is show em the seapass card

Why go thru effort of showing your seapass to ask a question. That's way more pretentious 😉

 

And once again, the key take away is not ask. Let them offer. If you have to whip out the seapass, its rarely worth it.

It would be so boring and seen as what’s the story here. Quick summary, a woman who is friends of Susie Freckles bum rushed my mom in the casino and welllll….. let’s link up on a cruise and I’ll tell you in person? Seriously, you always go, I’m sure I can get on one that works with me and wifes schedule. You can even tell me how much of a a-hole I’ve been here, I’m nothing like that in person tho 😉

Two single Pinns and then us.  We had 479 points when we boarded EN and now have 491 and expect we'll never be in the top three again unless we do another Bermuda cruise on a small ship, maybe lol.  All we got was recognition at the Top Tier and a photo with the Captain and Hotel Dir.   The LA practically begged us to come to the Top Tier party.

One of the greatest & not mentioned benefits is, getting problems solved. Had a major problem & was able to write Michael Bailey. Status gets their attention & gets things handled much easier. During the fiasco of the pass several years we were able to get thigs resolved.

LOL...yeah, the LA does not have much to do on lightly attended upper tier C&A cruises.  It really makes their day when you agree to participate.  😉

Starlink is massively less expensive than other satelite options.  It is not the first generation of a product.  It is an evolution.  An Evolution that has to compete with cell companies, satelite companies, cable companies, and telephone companies.  Hardly a product without market competition.

Funny, but inaccurate.

 

I've sailed on Celebrity, HAL, Princess, NCL, and Costa.  I just get a better experience with RCCL, and now that I sail solo, I get better pricing, too.  Unless I want to go stay in a closet on some other cruise line's "solo" cabins.  

 

Once I got within reach of becoming Pinnacle, the lure of priority boarding, free internet, more drinks, and the solo discount (which I already had from 340 points) was just a great package for me.  I still look elsewhere, but I can't find much to compare.  If it was a unique itinerary, then I'd look elsewhere, like Princess' roundtrip Los Angeles-Hawaii-Tahiti.

I feel that all of us set a goal, and do the necessary requirements to attain that goal.  Whether it be cruising, education, social status or whatever.  I know they are all different goals, but a goal for one person is not for another.

 

That being said to those who are Pinnacle.

 

 

Once again, congrats to those who attain Pinnacle status.  You deserve all the recognition and benefits that you earned (paid for by the number of cruises).

 

And in all our years of sailing to reach our current D+ status I have only encountered kindness and useful information from those who are experienced travelers on RCI.

 

There were days in the past when the suite lounge was crowded and seats were saved by one and all, suite or Pinn.  Unless they were wearing their sea pass or pin, I never knew what the status was.

 

That being said, when I asked if I could sit in a "saved" chair until their friends came I was always generously offered the spot.  And I did leave when the people arrived. 

I encountered and shared great conversations with all but one person in my cruising history.

And I now know she had the attitude and not me.  So I did what was best avoided her.

 

I can only hope that the list of C & A  members benefits can only get better and not modified to make RCI happy and Pinns affected in whatever way RCI could possibly think of now.

 

I probably will never attain Pinn, but all in all just love cruising.
