Carnival Shareholder OBC

I have purchased three Carnival cruises for the first 90 days of 2023.  A few weeks ago, I purchased 100 shares of Carnival (CCL) with the hopes of using it for any discounts/credits/etc. that may be offered to shareholders.

I know depending on the length of your Carnival cruise, you can get 50/100/250 dollars Onboard Credit (OBC).  You have to request the OBC weeks ahead of the cruise and I already did that.

Here is the question:  At what point will I see that OBC on my online documents, such as the VIEW INVOICE DETAILS under the BOOKING & ORDER DETAILS tab? (or anywhere else, for that matter)

Thanks,

I would wait a couple of weeks. If you do not receive a new invoice for each cruise with th shareholder OBC on each one, call this number 1-888-438-6744 Guest Relations

I requested for our January 2023, and the only response  I have so far is due to overwhelming number of requests, they are taking far longer than in the past. You will get an email from guest relations when your OBC is issued. I'll wait until a month prior if I don't see it. Note: credits for my November cruise were issued within a few weeks.

You may have already done this but if not, you have to send them an email with your proof of shares, cruises dates and reservation #s.

I faxed mine in and didn't hear back. After a week I called. I was asked the date and time I faxed it in, person found it and gave me the credit. She also sent me a confirmation email as well as a new booking information that now contained the credit information. Next time I wanted to pre purchase  something, my credit was used towards the payment.

Thank you everyone!!   It really does "take a village".

I followed all of the steps I was supposed to follow in sending them the required documents.  But, since I had never done this before I didn't really know what kind of turn around time I should be expecting.  I am glad though that I am really ahead of the curve.  Since the first sailing isn't until Jan 9, I have plenty of time to follow-up in case there is some sort disconnect.

All of you have put my mind at ease and I wish you safe and fun cruises everywhere!

Thank you.

Yes you should get something saying it was approved and it should show up on your final paperwork ( not necessarily online on booking details)

We've only had the opportunity to use our SH benefit for OBC on our cruise in Dec 2021, but that was with Princess. In that instance, our credit showed up in our booking details (I think it was in same place where we could find our price, taxes, grats, etc.) although, I'm not sure we got a confirmation email... IIRC, it just appeared. Are you saying there is no way to verify the OBC online before you sail, other than an email?

It will show up on final documents which you can view/print out before you sail.

I sent in my stockholder information for onboard credit three weeks before my cruise day and had not heard back By the time my cruise started.

I went to guest relations while on the ship  and they gave me an email address for customer service that is specific to the ship I was on. I emailed them with all of the information and got my onboard credit on my account within about two hours. The actually looked up my next cruise and gave me the onboard credit for that one as well.

My PVP said I should be $250 because I'm doing back to back equalling 14 days. Has anyone else had this approved before?

is the back to back cruises two separate bookings with two different numbers or it is 1 booking with one booking number?

14 day or longer cruises do get $250 dollars and 7 day or longer cruises get $100 dollars.

I sent in a request last Friday (Sep 9) for a Cruise coming up in mid December and received a response the following day (Saturday, Sep 10) saying the credit has been applied to our account.

I just sent an email to shareholders@carnival.com with proof of shares and a copy of our cruise booking.  I was very surprised how quickly they responded.

That was my interpretation as well. Mine is a 6 night and an eight night. 2 separate numbers. But the PVP said they should consider it the same as a 14 nighter.

Last month I did a B2B. 10 day, then 4 day. Got $100 first leg and $150 second leg. Different booking numbers but the cruises were linked

I have 4 future cruises booked, all under a casino rate deal. I tried 2 different times to get my credit, but was turned down both times. Oh well.

I finally received a response today after about 3 weeks and I too was denied as under a casino deal.  The letter said although it may have been granted in the past they are really looking at the offers with reduced rates.  I will keep trying each and every cruise. I have never been denied before on a casino rate, but this one maybe since both of us are getting $1000 casino cash.

You can use this link:

https://www.carnival.com/booked/document?BookingNumber=ABC123&IsPrintLuggageTagsSelected=true&IsPrintPassFlightSelected=false&IsPrintCruiseInfoSelected=true

Replace your booking number where ABC123 is in the link.  Copy and place in your browser.  Hit enter.  You should see your Booking Summary.  Cursor down and below Itemized Charges you will see any OBC that you have been given.

Have a great cruise!
