Our first b/2/b cruise will happen end of december and first week in January.  We have the same sky suite for both.  What is the process now?  Royal offers a special luncheon for b/2/b guests, does celebrity?  We are on the Apex out of fort lauderdale.  Any inforrmation would be appreciated.  Thanks

Just relax. Everything will be sorted on the ship including a meeting to explain all the details.

Celebrity don't usually do a lunch.

If you're in a Sky Suite, you will have lunch in Luminae on both your embarkation day as well as your back to back day.

Since you are on Apex, the ship will be at Terminal 25. They will most likely be using the facial recognition machines for back to back. You will meet in Retreat Lounge and be escorted by a Retreat Lounge Concierge into the terminal. They have cameras that scan your face. Everyone has their face scanned and then you get your new seapass cards and return to the ship.

The main thing to be aware of is that as a Retreat Lounge guest, your Concierge will be there to assist in the whole process and make it as easy as possible on you.

Yes they do, but it’s in the main dinning room on changeover/ boarding day with the concierge lunch. We have just got off a b2b on Reflection and for once stayed on board on changeover. So we went in for the lunch it’s more relaxing than the buffet on that day!

But since you are in a Sky Suite you will want to do Luminae for lunch on turnaround day.

One additional thing we do when staying in the same room on a B2B is to tell our stateroom attendant that a deep cleaning is nor needed and that we really only need sheets and towels changed.  On our last B2B, the stateroom attendant changed the sheets the last sea day instead of on turn around day.  Told him to take care of the other rooms and not to worry as much about us.

We do the same when we are keeping the same stateroom! They always appreciate this as they are so busy on that day.

Our stateroom attendant was proactive and told us he changed the sheets the night before turn around day and had put new towels in the closet to stage them for the next day.

You will get a B2B invite to a meeting an/or a written set of instructions.   If in the same room you don't have much to do.   You have two options -  You can either use the enclosed Transit Pass and can leave the ship anytime prior to Final Call and tour for the day but can't come back until general boarding beings or stay aboard for processing.   If staying abord they ask that you meet in a B2B area around 8:30 (often the sky lounge).   After the ship is zeroed out you will either be processed by immigration and checkin or go ashore for processing.    B2B processing is generally complete by about 10:00 and you have full reign of the ship until 11:30.     While I have never attended I have been invited to the CC luncheon in MDR which is also open to B2B and Zenith's.     Not sure if that is the case on all cruises.

Be aware that your initial cruise OBC/charges are closed out and you have a new account. So make sure you use your nonrefund OBC because it does not carry over.

You can treat your turnaround day as another port day. You can go off and come back that early afternoon. You’ll go through terminal security but not check in and all that, you’ll just walk onboard with your pass.

Thanks Den -   just want to add if you choose to use your Transit Pass you will need to check in at a special deck to get your new Sea Pass.     One other item.    Many ports (non-Florda) the staff at the terminal have no idea what a Transit Pass is or for that matter a sea pass.

We had a bit of difficulty re-boarding Summit in Boston.    They kept trying to process us and telling us we have to go to a counter.   The final lady when I told her we are already processed said OK if you think you can get aboard with that go ahead.    She was trying to get us to show our board pass, answer the health questions etc.

In Southampton we were on a B2B excursion an when we arrived back as a group the guard at the door gave us a lot of grief and then when we got to the B2B counter she checked each of us in from scratch -  including credit cards, Covid VAx, pictures took hear about 10 minutes apiece.

Since the introduction of the Concierge Class embarkation day lunch in the MDR B2B guests and embarking Zeniths have also been invited.

Prior to the introduction of the Concierge Class embarkation lunch  B2B guests were periodically given a coupon for Bistro on 5  (remember that venue?); the coupon was sporadic and inconsistent.  I remember getting a coupon on the first turnaround day of a B2B2B series, but not on the second turnaround day.

But since our OP is in a Sky  Suite Luminae will be open on turnaround day for lunch.
