klfhngr Posted October 10, 2022 #1 Share Posted October 10, 2022 Will be in MR next week, was thinking of getting off really quick in Cabo or PV and bringing tacos back onto ship, lol!
nelblu Posted October 10, 2022 #2 Share Posted October 10, 2022 Not allowed. As a matter of fact, a comedian on out Osis sail last night was talking about bringing food on board but was told company RCL policy does not allow. Also, vice versa. Cigar King Posted October 10, 2022 #3 Share Posted October 10, 2022 I've never had an issue bringing food onto the ship. Bringing it off is potentially an issue.

smokeybandit Posted October 10, 2022 #5 Share Posted October 10, 2022 It really depends what you're bringing. Is it a burger or something exotic that may be banned in other countries?
shellunderwater Posted October 10, 2022 #6 Share Posted October 10, 2022 Tacos? Not sure about that. Commercially prepped and sealed food, no worries.

I know someone who was not allowed to bring Holy Donuts back onboard in Portland, Maine. 2
Rare John&LaLa Posted October 10, 2022 #8 Share Posted October 10, 2022 (edited) Seems there was an issue up north with donuts being denied So close😇 Edited October 10, 2022 by John&LaLa

We love Holy Donuts but we buy one and eat it right then and there 🙂 Going back Oct 2023.

neverbeenhere Posted October 10, 2022 #14 Share Posted October 10, 2022 "Security" will likely let it in against the rules or not. Of course, you may get to enjoy the food while standing outside the ship.

Seems to work. Fruit is supposed to be a no no but a guy with one said well if they catch me they do. Food is smuggled on and off all the time. There's always a trashcan full of fruit that people have tried to carry off but the dogs catch.

c-leg5 Posted October 10, 2022 #18 Share Posted October 10, 2022 We have brought left-over wedding cake back on from a destination wedding. We declared it without any problems. However, I can’t understand why you wouldn’t want to eat a street taco while it was fresh.

That's funny- just a couple of weeks ago, we saw people get Holy Donuts on the ship, and we brought some food from the bakery just across the road from the ship on board. Yummy breakfast in our cabin for a few days. And a few days later, we brought cookies on board that we bought at a "craft fair" that was held by local veterans in Sidney - this isn't the one in the port, BTW. Not once have we had problems bringing food on the ship.

Telling me that others have done it, doesn't change her experience. As I said, we've never brought food back onboard so no experience.
