Need some help navigating the Elite perks...

We are excited to be back on Celebrity from a URCOMPED offer - first cruise on Celebrity since 2011.  I can see we are Elite from our D+ on Royal, but I'm confused by the perks and packages, and I'm hoping someone can help us navigate to make the best of the benefits, as we were not offered the all in package and need to book things individually.

I see we are offered discounted drink and internet packages, along with Captains Club drinks between 5 and 7pm. I believe we are also given free drinks in the casino.  My confusion is I don't see the "discounts" outlined on the Elite benefits page on the planner (they're offering 9% off, but the Elite discounts were indicated at 30%, etc).  I tried booking and placing them in my cart, but checkout still only shows the 9%.

Any advice and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks!

Please excuse me if this isn’t correct, I don’t want to muddy the waters. But I just called celebrity captains club and they say when you book and they know you have elite or other CC status, all those discounts and benefits are loaded on your card. I was as clear as I could be to the CC agent and explained that there is another opinion regarding discounts not being loaded unless you call CC directly, prior to the cruise. ???😳

I've never had to call for anything when I board its on my card even the  free scoop of Gelato.

The only way to get the "pre cruise" discount on the purchase or upgrade of a beverage package is to call.     Since the drinks & wi-fi packages are slightly discounted in the Planner upgrading or purchasing pre cruise saves a few extra $.

The other benefits (laundry, specialty dining, wi-fi, etc) are loaded onto your account onboard.

To get Elite discounts with Celebrity Captains Club. You or your TA must call Celebrity to get the discount. Cant be done on website or while on board.

I guest I could have been clearer. The OP was asking about "discounted drink and internet packages". To get those discounts you must call.

See pdf below under Elite Plus "20% discount on drink package or 15% discount on premium drink package upgrade when purchased pre-cruise"

The free laundry is a great benefit especially on longer cruises. Also if Elite you get 1 item dry cleaned. I usually bring something from home that needs cleaning then wear to dinner.

Thanks all.  After an hour and 45 mins on the phone, I managed to book the discounted drink package and internet. I guess as we booked the cruise through a casino rate, this is the process that has to be followed? Do most bookings include these items in the fare?

Casino packages are different from the normal AI and cruise only fares.  No idea what your deal was.  In the future try calling on a regular weekday and your call will go through faster.

The Elite DISCOUNT for upgrades on internet and beverages must be done precruise and cannot for some reason done on line.  I usually don't bother with the extra few dollars.

Those few $ add up.  For an upcoming B2B the discounts on wi-fi & beverage package upgrades total $354 for the 2 of us.  I'll call to save that money.

We are Elite Plus and I have NEVER  called X to get the discounts. There will be a list of your Elite perks in your cabin when you board.

We are also elite plus and your comments reflect our experience. (We've received our CC benefit for an onboard booking, such as a spa visit.)

Thank you everyone for the navigation help! We were specifically booking drink and wifi packages, and it was worthwhile to call as it saved us over $400 from the planner rates. I think we'll be fine with how the other benefits work as it appears to be very similar to the Diamond + benefits (loaded on the card).

Any other suggestions or advice from your experience would be welcomed - feeling a bit like a novice cruiser again, as all our cruises in the last 10 years have been on RCCL, and we're very "comfortable" with how those ships "work". Two areas that we could use more info on...

- As I mentioned, this was a casino rate, as we are Signature and Prime on RCCL.  The Casino status is a bit more complex, and I've never seen "freeplay" sold on the planner? Is that something we should do?

- There seem to be more options and dining choices. We're contemplating a dining package as well.

Tips and suggestions to help us navigate would be great! Thank you again!

thank you for posting this question. I am d+ with Royal, my ta advised I have to go to guest services after we board Summit to get our 'matched status'.

Sue

Do call in if you want Wifi or drink packages as it specifically states that the 15% discount has to be booked pre cruise. The other benefits are loaded on your card just like D+.  Laundry etc. are similar, but the drink and Wifi benefits are not the same. They're listed here:

Thanks so much for posting.  After Covid interrupted our more frequent cruising, I've lost track of all benefits of Elite Plus. Is this PDF still accurate? I just checked on the Celebrity website and this is all that it showed under Elite Plus benefits.

Benefits

  • Two complimentary bags of laundry
  • 15% discount on Specialty Dining cover charge
  • 15% discount at The Spa
  • 35% off internet package or internet upgrade
  • 10% off beverage package upgrade to Premium pre-cruise
  • 40% discount on any digital or print photo package at the Photo Gallery

Am I missing something?

You do have other benefits all Classic through Elite Plus. One complimentary scoop of gelato under Classic for example. The PDF is dated Aug 2022.
