Bought my bingo tickets, Tina but I don’t think they gave me a cruise lottery and didn’t ask so I might have been too late.  It is what it is - there will probably be an opportunity at bingo, anyways 😉 

Mariachi last night was quite good until it got “touristy” at the end.  That was my opportunity to slip (limp) away before overtaken by the hordes LOL

 

 

 

 

This one does take skill - dance and turn the tie into a bow.  It’s a popular one 😉 Hope it is worth it.  If I told you how long it too to upload you would never believe me 😱

Lido for lunch.

Take it with a grain of salt.  When I got there, NO sandwiches other than the pulled pork - she did make me one - but not at all what was showing on the menu

 

The bread pudding was again at the Sweet Spot and not at the bread board as in the menu.

 

Not sure if it is CC or the ship, but can’t get the menu to load nor the bread pudding pic - will try again while I wait for Bingo.

I have 3 bars so not sure what is going on?

 

Well this is weird - went on via chrome and the pics are there at the bottom.

 

First two are the Lido menu for lunch and the last the bread pudding at lunch time.  Sorry about that!

I can only imagine how long it took to upload.  If we had tried to upload a video when we were on the Oosterdam we’d still be on the ship.🤣

 

Glad you are enjoying Club Orange.  We got it on the Rotterdam for our cruise in February for the cabin upgrade but it seems that you are enjoying the CO dining room too.

I’ll probably be at the Sea View Pool LuAnn.

I don’t do Mardi Gras beads but I normally have a long skirt on for sail a way days.  And, I suspect I will still have the cane - LOL.  Although I see improvement today 👍. The hot and cold helped for sure 👍 

 

My pics have posted enough that I think too many know what this ugly lady looks like by now 😉

I got CO for the upgrade too. I didn’t think I needed anything else but OMG keep me out of that line up for the dining room. Crazy!

Last bingo for this segment is over and nope, I didn’t win.  I have NEVER seen so many people playing bingo ever in my entire cruise history.  OMG.

 

Jackpots were certainly nice to win though if you did.  True to form, the lovely family sitting with me had a win!

I seem to give more luck to others than to me - LOL.

Today was the Mariner recognition celebration - met some lovely people.

 

there was a silver medallion awarded but they weren’t invited up to get their pic taken.  Instead, we could all have our pic taken if we so chose.

 

Our captain and HD with the Cruise Director:

 

 

As you can tell by the CD’s dress, it is orange night tonight.

 

The HD in chatting with us about the lineups said they needed to retrain the guests (sounded like Air Canada blaming the security line ups on travellers instead of lack of staff).  When we quoted him the numbers we were told he said no.  It’s only 2800.  There was a bit dissension in the ranks of a few of us as we had all heard the number.  I had even written it down.

But kudos to him - I have fantastic room stewards and told him so and of course, the LUK will flow but it doesn’t hurt to say so, right?

When our Mariner person came she confirmed the numbers we had and said it’s the most people Koningsdam has ever carried.  A record.  Lovely lady enjoyed the chat.

 

Many of us were surprised there were so few of us and there was only a small portion of the Ocean Bar closed off so it must have been somewhat acurate.

So, yesterday I took a bit of a walk around.  It was refreshing to see the Dutch Care sans crowds.  They really have a lovely inner room I love but it’s been packed every time I was there when everyone was on board.

 

 

 

 

It’s centre ship and gives you a good sense of bearings.

I fully admit it’s taken me time to learn my way around this ship and will check the elevator map but I have never been this bad.

 

This morning a lady met me at Club Orange and asked if this was the Lido. We are on day 3 folks.  I had to fight to keep a straight face and I said no, the Lido is on deck 9.  Oh, she said what deck is this?  I told her deck 2 with a completely straight face but was chuckling when I went into CO.  So was my escort into CO.  Sorry, I’m bad.

And before I forget - a little comment on the kids this week.

 

It was dressy/Gala night the other night and while some people may have not passed the fashion police muster, I saw the nicest most beautifully dressed family.  the young boys were dressed in suits and bow ties and the girl had on the sweetest dress.  They looked adorable.  So reminded me of @1of4’s beautiful family and children

Not @kazu but Afternoon Tea has been offered only on At Sea days on our last 3 cruises.

I sent a video of the room to my grandson (4) who was enthralled with the thought of a bedroom on a ship. It finally arrived a week later. rofl
