Hi @partybarbie, are you talking about the Thermal suite opposed to the complimentary sauna and steam that were in the changing rooms by the fitness center? There was always a charge for the Thermal suite based on length of cruise? Have you gone inside the changing rooms with the lockers?

On the Emerald the steam and saunas were removed to provided accessible treatment rooms for Spa patrons. If they were not removed on the Ruby, I cannot see how they will now want a fee to use these as passengers will use changing room to take showers, etc., after fitness center work outs.

I didn’t get to see inside that area. I just asked the lady at the front desk. I asked her if there were any complimentary saunas or thermal suites and she said no. It is possible she didn’t understand, but I didn’t ask about showers.

Hi @partybarbie, if you get a chance, please go to the Spa and check out the changing rooms/locker rooms/showers/restrooms as this area should still be complimentary. After you pass the Spa reception, keep to the left and you should see the signs for Men’s and Women’s. Please peek inside and see if there are still steam and saunas in the area with the showers. Thank you.

I went to the spa today. I was told again that the showers, lockers, and steam room are only for guests having spa treatments. The sauna, thermal suite, and heated loungers are all in one room. You have to pay to use it. I asked if someone was just doing a workout in the gym if they could use the lockers and showers. I was told only if they not being used by passengers that were paying for treatments. They would not let me into that area at all. I guess they didn’t want me disturbing the other guests.

How long will it be before the Lotus pool will be restricted to Sanctuary customers only?

As I recall, the only bathrooms are located in that Steam/Sauna area.

Hi @partybarbie, thanks for going by the Spa, I will check it out for myself as maybe the remodel does not allow easy access to the changing rooms as before.

Thanks for all the pics & patters Partybarbie.

If you or anyone on Ruby is a CASINO patron, if you could please post pics of the remodel?

Wondering HOW they've changed it?  New Machines? Video poker?

I liked the ruby Casino layout before, but the biggest issue in the casino was the Smoke!

Had to be one of the worst casinos for smoke I've ever encountered.

And weve been on Ruby several times.

Wondering how thats changed?

Just checked the bathrooms in the spa area. It appears the saunas are being converted to showers. I believe the sauna  has already been replaced in the women’s locker room, and the men’s are in the process of being converted to shower.

I was on Ruby in May and casino was full of smoke. Now, however, did not notice any smoking at all. Not sure if it was just the crowd or whether they have restricted smoking in someway in the casino. They’ve change the layout, reduce the number of tables and increased the slots.

Happy to see someone got pictures for you. I did play the slots for a quick minute, but didn’t win anything.

Just got home after our trip on the Ruby.  We spent time in the casino and the smoke was not an issue for us.  There is a smoking section but the smoke stayed mainly in that area.  We did not notice smoke at all in the non-smoking area, and there was just a slight smoke smell at the tables.  I thought the casino was laid out pretty well and enjoyed playing there.  It was very busy most of the time on our cruise.
