Apex, where can we get regular black coffee besides buffet?

We are looking at the Apex in the spring.  We really enjoy black coffee in the afternoon, nothing in it. I’m sure you can find it in the buffet but where else can it be found on the Apex?  We have only sailed on RC and are changing it up a bit.  I appreciate any input.

Thank you

The also have coffee (free) in Spa Cafe between 7 and 10 and  12noon until 2:00pm, Roof Service (fee may apply).  MDR when open for lunch.   I believe they also have coffee available at the Casino Bar.    They may also have free coffee at Eden Cafe when open --- don't recall.

Eden Cafe, Il Segundo al Bacio, Al Bacio  Le Grand Bistro - coffee for a fee,

Thank you MisterMet. Is there a charge for this? (If you know). Regardless, it's very helpful. ☺️

Al Baccio Without a drink package there is a charge

Wait, one other thing. We will get Elite status on this ship due to our status with RC. I wonder if they have coffee somewhere tucked away. I do realize there's no lounge as RC has. Thanks to anyone that might know.

In the afternoon, no.  But they will have an elite breakfast, usually in one of the specialty restaurants where you can enjoy regular coffee or specialty coffees plus a light breakfast.

Just went through this with my partner last month on the Millennium. Regular brewed black coffee is not the same as Americano. The only choice was room service or the oceanview.

Yes there is a charge unless you have a drink package. We have found the coffee to be excellent at Cafe Al Baccio

With your Elite status I think you get free drinks at most of the bars on the ship between 5 and 7 pm. One would hope Cafe al Baccio would give you a free coffee during that time period as an Elite.

Unfortunately, no. The Elite happy hour is from a set menu of drinks that don’t include any coffees.

FYI: The coffee at CaB (Cafe al Baccio) is expresso based; what's the difference you ask?

I guess the difference is how one spells it! 😉

An Americano is expresso with a higher percent of water (or something like that).  On my first X cruise,  I was with my sister who drinks a ridiculous amount of hot tea.  We were always at Al Baccio, and I drink coffee with milk.  Americanos are not the same.  That was when I learned to like lattes.

Thanks to the Power Up Points for helping us reach Elite Plus for our future cruises and being able to take advantage of Cafe al Bacio for no charge! Cafe Americano for me and Decaf Cafe Mocha for DH,

Outside of meal times regular drip coffee can be hard to find. The stuff at the buffet can be pretty tough to get down after sitting in the carafes for so long. You can get an Americano (double shot of espresso + hot water...that's all) anywhere that has an espresso machine but if drip coffee is your go-to you may not like it.

If you haven’t, you will need to get a Captain’s Club number and get your C&A status attached to it.
