What are your favorite MDR dishes?

There’s so much talk about specialty restaurants but the majority of cruisers eat in the MDR. So, what are some of your favorite offerings from the MRD that future cruisers should keep an eye out for? Sometimes the best offerings are the least expected. Which are the best cuts of meat to try? How about favorite desserts?

My favorite entree is the pork schnitzel. Also anything with Thai chilis has been wonderful such as the soup.

We were on a 9 night cruise and didn't get to try the carpaccio, short rib, or wellington. Was not served at all - even our Concierge embarkation lunch was a stew instead of short ribs. Grrr. But out of the items we did get, the prime rib was great! We did not love the lobster tail in the MDR. It was very small and rubbery. The lobster tail in Qsine/Le Petit Chef was much better!

I loved the chilled pea soup - figured there would only be a few little bits of lump crab meat, but there was a lot of lump crab hiding in the bottom of the bowl.

Favorite dessert was the white chocolate macadamia.
