Is it 18% of passenger out of pocket or 18% of retail price?

 

18% of $0 (voucher drink) = $0.  Receipt is $0 total.

18% of $14 = $2.52.  Receipt is $16.52 total.

I have looked at my own receipts and never seen it.  Possibly it was from someone who had the drink package where tips are included.  Totally different from D, D+, P free drinks.

No, the post I am thinking about was definitely about Crown And Anchor voucher drinks.

I made a point to look in July when I was on WOTS , did not receive a receipt very often, but when I did, it definitely had a note printed at the bottom about gratuity being handled.

There are no printed drink vouchers and have not been for years. Drinks are loaded on your seapass card.

man you tight people    these crew members work 7 days a week no days off  ever for 7 or 8 months  hook them up  the drinks get a hole lot better 5 dollars extra a drink every drink 20 dollars the last drink the last night with a thank you card  and a bag of candy

Oh, makes more sense. But I have not been presented with a receipt for a voucher drink in many cruises.

We have been D, D + for 12 cruises and have never been given a receipt. There are no tips to the server for a voucher drink.

Sorry but that’s incorrect. 
 

we received receipts for about 1/3 of our D+ drinks in July

I tip $1 or $2 for both diamond drinks and free drinks in the casino.    Sometimes in the casino I tip more if busy and that seems to assure they come back.
