So difficult to choose...but it would have to be on The RCCL Explorer to Bermuda.  Why? Because it was my new husband's very first cruise and I was PETRIFIED he wouldn't enjoy cruising as much as I do.

His words to me on day 3....."I have never felt so relaxed in my life"

Hence....dozens of cruises followed. He is addicted.

Choosing a "first" makes a lot of sense.  Our first cruise that wasn't from the West Coast was Grand Mediterranean (Grand Princess).  It was wonderful.

If I had to name only one, I think it would be the British Isles (Crown Princess).  The Baltic, Norway/Iceland, Australia/New Zealand, and any number of Mediterranean itineraries would be right up there.

I have to stop otherwise I'll be naming almost every cruise we have been on!  😀

We do love the Baltic , British Isles , Norway and Iceland . In fact there's a NCL Star in our future this May . We did do similar cruise in 2019 that you might enjoy at the link below .

Geiranger fjord on the ferry

Iceland

Invergordon , Scotland

Returning to Copenhagen . Please enjoy the sunset and music .

We have much better still photos but Photobucket will not allow me to show our photos ! Please look at the link for the photos of the whole cruise .

We haven’t done as many as some but Norway fjords to my breath away. Also sailing into Kotor, Malta and Venice - wow!

Caribbean on Galaxy and Bahamas was nice but didn’t wow me though celebrity Galaxy was our first cruise and it got me hooked on cruising!

Most of us have been on a number of cruises . So which were your favorite cruises and ports ? Please feel free to share photos and videos . We would prefer that we share here on CC and not blogs from elsewhere .

Like I mentioned in a similar thread a few months ago, all of my cruises were special in their own way.  But my music charters have been a little more special than the rest.  Here's a photo from one of them, with a rare concert on land in one of my favorite ports - Key West:

@Ellis1138 mentioned The Star Trek Cruise.  Well, immediately after those cruises they tear down that stuff and put up decorations for The 80s Cruise - another music charter that I've been on.  Here's a random photo from a Q&A with one of the performers:

We missed one by one week . But I had a little case of bag envy when I saw this bag hanging from the previous cruise ( a charter cruise ) .

First cruise post pandemic, October 2021.  NCL Jade to the Greek Isles.  Athens, Mykonos, Patmos, Rhodes, Crete, Santorini, Athens.  We were blown away with the ancient history.  We did Athens on our own pre and post cruise.  We stayed in Platka and everything was within walking distance.  Favorite excursions were Delos in Mykonos and the ancient Olympic grounds and museum in Olympia (Katakolon).  Here are a few pictures:

Acropolis at night from rooftop of Hotel Plaka

Bridge of Lions on Delos

Nike, Greek Goddess of Victory in Olympia

Blue Roofs of Santorini

Hotel Plaka.  We did one night pre and post cruise. Reasonable rates when we stayed.  We walked everywhere and felt so safe.  We met a travel agent from France on the cruise, and that is where they stayed as well.  We took a taxi from the airport to hotel. Actually all our travel to/from hotel/port were taxis. The hotel helped arrange taxis where we could use credit cards.  AP to hotel took card and we paid cash (Euros) port to hotel. Let me know if you have any other questions.

when you Google it, be sure to find the hotel website…not the guest.reservations site that poos up first.

Has anybody heard of Robert Neary ? He's an actor and a dancer where he met his wife . He also sang Jukebox Favorites another night .

I first heard this in 1961 in Blue Hawaii from Elvis

In the the original movie Elvis gave a music box that played the song to his girlfriends grandmother . We stayed 1 mile away where the movie was made in March this year in Kauai where I gave my wife a music box that play's the same song .
