Well my upcoming harmony only the top 30 get to eat in ck. So cross that one off. I'll never be top 30 unless only 29 onboard lol. All 3 say top 30. Already posted before I even board.

Still would love free wifi.

I haven't had full CK access for the past year or so.  Past few Oaiss class cruises (about 6 months ago) it was no access for breakfast, day by day for lunch and possibly 2 dinners.  (Squeaky wheels got dinner every night).  Now it is top 30.  I have a few Oasis class cruises in the next few months but don't expect access at all.  If it happens, OK. In fact, for one of the Wonder cruises, we have the ultimate dining package, so it doesn't matter at all.   Most of the upcoming cruises for 2024  are NON oasis class ships anyway.

By the way - where does it tell you that the top 30 get in.  Is it in the "welcome Aboard" banner?

thx

M

The personalized pin you can have. Ebay also has them for $1 if ya lose it in the shower.
Internet and balcony cruise are nice perks. CK limited access certainly a downer on pin heavy cruises.

IMO, it's only worth it to the person getting the additional value with the perks/benefits by moving up to the next tier level. We don't chase the tier levels but appreciate getting the perks/benefits when we finally reach that next tier level. What sucks is when the perks/benefits are eliminated or reduced.

Not to be splitting hairs...but I will anyway.  😉

You are missing a few things:

Bigger balcony discount

Flexible early check in time at terminal

Priority embarkation and suites/Pinnacle waiting area

Escorted departure

25.00 coupon for Specialty restaurants

Free milestone balcony cruises (I have my second one booked already) then the 3rd being a free JS

3 free bottles of wine (from Pinnacle choice list)

Cheers with an officer Pinnacle lunch

Priority seating at shows/events

These are things that just happen when you love to cruise...and enjoy cruising a lot.  If RCI wants to toss me some freebies...I sure won't turn them down.  And indeed...the free unlimited internet is my favorite.  😉

To be honest, some of those perks are meaning less.

Some are fluf.

We have over 150 cruises on other cruise lines. Never dedicated to one. No one line has it all.

Thank you for explaining your perks.

On one cruise lines we are  the Most Traveled Passengers group and have lunch with the Captain.

Happy Cruising!

The "wearing the pin" thing.... We're D+, and may see Pinnacle in our lifetime. I enjoy the perks we get now, and look forward to the added perks (if they still exist) if and when we make Pinnacle.

What I won't expect is that crew members will or should treat us any better than a first time cruiser. If "wearing the pin" means that another passenger is getting slower service in a bar or restaurant, I'll leave it in the jewelry box.

Just my 2 cents.

Good for you!

And good for me as well.  I have cruises booked with other lines that far exceed the length and cost of the RCI cruises I have booked.

Yaaah!!  Thanks...and I will always have a stupid answer for you.  🤗

One of my favorite perks is having breakfast in one of the specialty restaurants (usually Chops) on ships that do not have a CK.  If they cut this one I will be more than a little unhappy.

Indeed...also one of my favs.   Love the breakfast in Chops.  😋

Yes click on the banner where it says welcome aboard. .. I posted a picture of the banner and what it said a week maybe ago. Lower half above the buttons at the bottom.

Very few high loyalty last week. 19 pinns and few D+. Seems odd to me they say for the next 3 weeks the access is cut, and top 30 pinns. I'll be wanting to know how many each week coming up for them to do this. Imo not very high numbers. Ok took another picture .. though my check in has checked out, cant do safety briefing .

Many said they didnt know where it says welcome aboard was a link to info. ..

Our friends only wear them to events for upper tiers.  I have never seen a crew member give less service to someone because a Pinnacle was there.  Reality is, Pinnacles don't tip any better than anyone else and that's what the crew is looking for.  What we're looking forward to is the free internet lol.  Only 93 more points.

Well, we have spent a lot of money on cruising over the last 18 years.   On Jewel Oct 20-Nov 9 b2b), there were several Pinns with over 2400 pts.   As I've always said, we haven't "earned" anything.  We bought every single point.

I hear ya. With retirement closing in on us , I can see the opportunity for more frequent bookings , but not sure if it will ever lead to those kinda numbers . The only way I could realistically see a major increase in days at sea would be if moving were on the taqble

Cheers .... enjoy every minute of it!

Lol that's what I said, just move and it's possible... now I'm planning a move and prices are making me say ... maybe not. Prices are much higher than even pre covid. .. imo.

After harmony I'll still need close to 200 .. I dont think "just 200". .. I think 200 will take forever at these prices.

C starts at 175 points.

The one perk I don’t understand is Pinnacles only getting 6 drinks per day. I have been a Diamond Plus for a while now and the 5 drinks per day is one of the best perks in my opinion. It seems strange that you need over 500 additional points to reach Pinnacle, but that only gets you one more drink per day when it comes to the free drinks perk. I am not complaining, since I think the current “voucher” system is far superior to the “unlimited” happy hour in the past. I guess for me the math just doesn’t make much sense when it comes to free drinks for Ds, D+s and Ps.

I understand what you're saying, but a D+ at 699 points only gets 1 more drink than a D at 80 points.  That is a bigger spread than P at 700 and D+ at 175.

Splitting hairs but on allure I did the cheers with a officer and the rib eye was very tough. I did it 2 out of 4 times lately. Boarding harmony and if its the same tough steak I wouldnt bother, I'll leave.

Pinnacles got the fillet so it's not the same cheers with a officer.

Got ya.  Thought you were in the crowd that let's all know they own the ship.  Took the bolded the wrong way.
