Price adjustment

Recommended Posts

Hi guys!  Because I'm still new & learning, this might be a dumb question.  How do the price adjustments work?  I'm by all means not expecting one I obviously booked the cruise with the intention of paying what I did or wouldn't have done it. I know you have to be the one to call them.  Does it have to be within a certain time frame of you cruising?  If you've already paid the balance does it go to onboard credit, or nothing at all? Thank you!

This I didn't know.  I appreciate it!

You're welcome.

* Happened to us only twice...the price for a JS dropped low enough for us to upgrade from a balcony...nice.

As others said it must be by Roysls final payment date.

If you paid in full before this date you can still get the price drop.  It will be issued as a refund and not OBC.  Make sure that you request that they set up the refund otherwise it will not be processed until after the ship sails.  Some but not all agents do this automatically.

And just to be clear, the price drop must be on the exact same cabin category that you are currently booked in. For instance, you can't just see a price drop on balcony cabins and assume you will get the lower price. If you are booked in a 4B and you see a better rate on a 4D, that won't qualify you for the price drop. The lower price must be on the 4B category that you are currently booked in.

Yes, ours (price adjustments) have always been to the credit card used.

Can you only do this if you book through Royal directly? What about through TA?

You get the price drops (US bookings) regardless of how your booked.

But you have to call your TA to get it done, not RC.
