Black Friday deals?

Do the river cruise companies typically have Black Friday/Cyber Monday deals?

 

I’m looking at doing an Ama cruise in Oct 2024 and even with the early bird discount it seems more expensive than I remember the last time I cruised.  Also the offered insurance seems expensive too. 13% of total cost… so adding airfare through Ama only increases the insurance cost. I’ll search to see if there is another thread with insurance alternatives. Just trying to make this voyage as affordable as possible. Thanks!

Looking through my email they did not have a sale at that time last year.

 

EVERYTHING is more expensive than we remember at this point.  Also keep in mind that the insurance covers the flights when you book it through them, hence why its more expensive.

Thanks. I tried to scroll back through some of the cruise companies social media accounts and didn’t see anything Black Friday deals for river cruises either.

I like that it says "When combined with the Super Earlybird special" – sometimes apparently great deals aren't combinable, so aren't so great in the end...

Avalon appears to be doing free prepaid gratuities on select cruises for  Black Friday.

Gate 1 usually has Black Friday discounts that can be used on their river cruises.

Viking has November promo code RA11 on Rhine & Danube sailings during March, 2024 to clear unsold inventory.  The web cabin prices shown apply but RA11 gets you free economy air, saving $599-799 pp.   $1,299 pp is prem-econ upcharge.  Fee for V custom Air+ flight choices is $100 pp. 

 

We just grabbed Mar. 15 Romantic Danube Budapest > Regensburg.  GOOD LUCK

Has anyone booked any good deals during Uniworld's 12 days of Christmas promotions in previous years? Just wondering if it is worth the wait or if I find a good deal go ahead and book with another company. I'm not loyal to any cruise line. Thanks

I got an e-mail this morning saying that Uniworld will be having a daily "Black Friday" special...  every day for 12 days starting on the 24th.

Just looked at the first one.  50% of a specific Grand European sailing Bucharest to Amsterdam.  Bootable to the end of the promotion period.

I contacted a TA about some good pricing for Emerald a few weeks ago but to get those prices it’s a 100% payment. It gives me pause for full payment that far in advance.
