"Dine My Way" will now become "Reservations".

Then they need to change "Reserve Club Class/Reserve CC Dining".

I have witnesses SOOOOOOO many passengers who line up the the "Reserve Dining Room" and are disappointed to be turned away as it is NOT MDR for those with reservations, but MDR for Club Class (now Reserve CC).  There is a small sign outside that says "Reserve Dining".

The host/hostess and sometimes the Assistant Manager calmly escort diners to the "other" door.

"AND SOME OF THE TERMS HAVE BEEN UPGRADED".  Princess really needs to hire an English teacher.

Understandably can happen both ways.   Last cruise we experienced a reserve class couple mistakenly get in the wrong MDR line.  Learning they were in the MDR "with reservations" line, they shared they were reserve class and just cut the line.  Happily they were advised of their error and shown to the correct entrance.

Note on latest Android update to current app:

"This will be the last update to the MedallionClass app which includes some enhancements to OceanReady steps.

Coming Soon:
- The brand new, and entirely separate Princess Cruises® app will be available for download in early December.
- This MedallionClass app will no longer be available for download in the coming weeks. However, if you already have this version downloaded on your device you may continue using it until early 2024."

Does this mean there is an update right now for the Medallion Class app?  Do we have to uninstall and reinstall to get the update, or is it automatic update when you log in or go online?

Do you have an Android or an Apple (iPhone)?

Sailing on Dec 3 ... I may load the new one on Friday.  If I have problems, I'll just uninstall it and continue using the old app since it sounds like they are two separate apps.

From the current app's update page in Google Playstore:

Both the MedallionClass app and the new Princess Cruises® app can be used interchangeably except for a few features which are not yet available on the new Princess Cruises app until early 2024.

I just went on Google Play and checked - there was an update pending so I went ahead and did it - I don't notice anything different with it.

No need to uninstall etc.

In 'Settings ' select 'Apps', find the app and click on it to get 'App info'.  Scroll down to 'App details in store'  (below that it shows the version you have on your phone) and click on it.

You should  now be in 'Google Play' and if an update is available there will be a button for it.

The three dots in the top right corner will reveal an option to enable auto-update.

Hope this helps.

We are off on an S2S; first cruise is December 16, second is December 23.  I plan on loading the new app on December 1 and seeing what happens.  I'll let you know.

So load the two apps and run them S2S while doing a S2S cruise 😉 ?

Me too.  Things are just as mixed up as previously but nothing I really care about (a couple of specialty dinners) changed.

I'm happy to download the new app as soon as I get off my next sailing.

Perhaps someone who has a sailing in the spring with everything loaded into their medallion app will be ready to download it Friday and let us know if everything moves over easily.

I’m with you on that.  We board on the 8th.  No way I’m taking a chance on it till we get off the ship.

I see that they are saying "early December " now. Might not be available for download tomorrow. They have kicked cans down the road on roll out dates in the past.

Thanks.  I now have the last and latest phone update with no apparent problems. Now hopefully the new app will have very few hiccups and we will be able to use either-or

Your instructions were easy to follow and right on.
