Since I saw @sonomaphilIMG_6672.thumb.png.81e26e1f4d77028bb9fb171b695303a1.png in the hall and he asked..this is the $10,000 cruise I am going to try to book

11-day on the Crown out of SF for Memorial Day.

Remember the CBS offer is good for 3 cruises. The freeplay is only for the first but can get 3 free cruises.

Are you sure about that?? The fine print says for ONE cruise.

Maybe for a suite it's only one. I'm sure your email offers will get you plenty of balcony and mini suites for free

the "come back and play offer" is for one cruise only.  Future email or mail offers are for 3 cruises, but the free play is good for only the first cruise booked.

Oh thanks for correcting my confusion. Once again the lack of clarity and published rules for all of their casino stuff strikes again

In related news..seems like my wife has came home..at least she turned off the alarm from the panel in the house at 5:30pm…looked on my porch security camera..but she hasn’t walked through the front door…dunno if she thinks my cruise lasts another day or not…we’ll see what happens next

Exactly..I JUST turned 40, and have been cruising for 6 years…let’s put you starting cruising at 50..I’ve got ten more years before I start getting to be the demographic that princess markets towards..

Is the 50+ year old crowd Princess' marketing demographic?  Maybe, but I'm not so sure about that.

Apparently I was mistaken..she was only making a pit stop; as she left at 8am today.

i can only imagine what awaits me at home…

Have you BEEN on a princess cruise? Look around..do you see anyone younger than 50 that’s not with older family?

Yep. I've seen young newlyweds that were not sailing with anybody else. On our first cruise the most traveled passenger was in his 30's.

Thanks for this "Live From".  I am not a big gambler but I have thoroughly enjoyed your style and candid report of this solo trip for you.  I have often wondered just how much and what it takes to get the good Casino Offers.   I also love the ones that you and your wife post when she is with you.  Hope you both can take advantage of that great offer and have a fabulous time.

Also just got off this cruise.  At 18,000 points, got a mini suite and $1500.

casino offer. Plus Package included

My 24 year old daughter has been cruising with us since she was 4 and has a lot of days. She and her new husband honeymooned on Enchanted in the Med last summer and she shared that they got a lot of funny looks whenever accessing her Elite benefits. She found they were often a little dismissed until it was noted that she really is a very well traveled passenger. No one seemed to believe it was possible for someone so young to be a seasoned cruiser!

We used to get comments back in the 1990’s at trivia.  “How can you know so much useless information when you are so young”. Also at most traveled luncheons

With our last offer, which was free inside/$250 each free play we booked a 17 day Alaska cruise

our cost to upgrade to deluxe oceanview on Lido deck was $1200 total

balcony is $2,900, or mini $5,000 or suite $18,200

we decided to upgrade to the deluxe oceanview - it has a full wall window and the interior cabin is as large as a balcony cabin.

our budget for gambling is what the cost of the cabin would have cost us if we had to pay for the cabin. So not getting the free interior would have cost $4,000, the oceanview room $7,000

so $7,000 - minus the $1200 for paying to upgrade leaves us $5,800 towards our gambling fund plus using the $500 free play that we get on the cruise.  We use the $200 deposit each that turns into the OBC for paying for coffee and soda.  We don't pay for the plus package - only use that if given to us.

we have cruises where we hit the limit and others where we came home with money.  Or we fall somewhere in the middle.  We get the cruise, get the dining, and we get to gamble.  We have a nice vacation and we don't break the bank.

We like to see where the cut off is now for getting the free oceanview, free balcony.

So would I..i can tell you it ain’t 8000 points on a 7-day..because I did that recently (March) and got ZERO “come

back soon” offer.

i also think, like someone else said; you’d CBS offer has a LOT to do with how many people earned a high number of points on that cruise

like; if a ton of folks earned 20,000+, then the “pool” of comps goes to those folks. It’s not a qualifier amount of points, like you’d normally expect it to be..it’s a “pool” of comps, and everyone playing in the casino on that cruise is fighting over it.
