Is this "clip" something other than the standard round holder that comes with the lanyard? Everybody gets a lanyard and a holder for the Medallion.

It must be. We are doing just the Plus Package on our first cruise, and that one doesn’t come with a clip.

Wearing a lanyard in ports just screams”pick my pocket “. Just my opinion

Well yeah, I'm not wearing it in ports... that's when I'll keep it in my bag or pocket. But if I'm just wandering around the ship, I have no issue with a lanyard

But it goes so well when also carrying the blue Princess Cruises tote bag! Actually, I would imagine I'm pretty easy to spot as a tourist no matter what I do and certainly as soon as I speak.

I was surprised to learn that the new Premier Package includes both a complimentary lanyard and a complimentary clip. Not sure if that was the case with the previous Premier?

It was in there when I booked over a year ago. I got excited about it until I realized it was just a clip and not something fancy like a bracelet. LOL

Yes.

I bought this thing that fits on the back of my phone that will hold a few cards and the medallion. I was thinking about getting the thing that fits on my watch band or getting a separate band to hold it but decided I didn't want to wear so much on my wrist. I guess I'll find out once we are on the cruise.

Pictures of some of the options from Princess:

ETA I don't think the lanyard looks like that anymore.

I love the bracelet. It's easy to swipe on/off the ship, in the casino, at dinner for drinks, etc.  I tried the necklace and it was just not easy to swipe things. I usually get the ships crest as the sticker so it's a little more decorative than just a color circle.  We also have the watch bands for when we're on deck sweating.  🙂  I've used the clip a few times, but the bracelet is the easiest for me.

Firecracker 400 tonight - 8/24 - Daytona - 7:00pm ET - USA Network

18 involved in a light bump .... back of car on fire / melted .... quite a race!!

I prefer a retractable reel for holding my medallion as its easily accessible, less obvious in port, and it hides my status onboard. My last one finally broke after 4 years so I'm thinking of changing from clip on to carbine clip retractable.  Input from others (I know I'm not the only one🎵)

"my" driver - KFB - just a little short... really good race - actually

my wife uses/used one of those retractable for years in her profession... not on a cruise, but she does use a lanyard - just not a P one

Nothing new.  We pre-purchased Premier before our cruises last December and April of this year.  The blue clips arrived in the box with the Medallions and lanyard.  I actually like using the clip more than the lanyard.

I do like the retractable reel idea. I use that for my office badge. But I still run into issues that some of my pants don't have belt loops to hook it on and I have to shove the whole mess in my front pocket. 🙄

Sorry for posting again

Does anyone know if there is a charge for the medallion thingy you use to open cabin door charges etc . I mean if you are NOT purchasing the premier or any other package ?

Sailing Barcelona to UK

Thanks 👍

Oh gosh, don't apologize for "posting again". That is what the site is for!😁

I broke my retractable reel on my last cruise so I'm thinking of getting a d ring to make this. Otherwise I'll just put it in my pocket. But dress pockets are barely large enough to hold my passport & phone w/ charge card.

For anyone who's used this type of holder & retractable reel, was it convenient?

DH used a retractable reel on our last cruise.  He liked it but it broke (it was lightweight 1.25 inches diameter).  You'd have to look for a strong but not chunky reel.

DH is going to use a watchband next time.
