Has anyone stayed under a casino? I'm curious to know how much noise it'll be on my next cruise. Thanks for anyone who responds

you shouldnt hear nothing from the casino-- its carpeted. IF by chance you do just call the pursers desk and let them know.

Please could anyone tell me if this is a bad cabin to have. This is a PR room and there is a cabin below us but none above....what could be above??? and also it is at the end of a group of 5 with a space of about the same again before another group of 5. What would be in between? We are booked on a B2B from Sept 28th.

thank you

Sandra

8275 is a connecting cabin-- do you have friends in the other cabin??

IF not- what I would do is go down one deck and move more central. A few more cabins toward the aft will make all the difference in the world

For two weeks--- I would think a little closer to the action= on deck 8 the windows are slanted out some-- where on deck 7-- its between cabin space and away from public areas. Your views will be great.

Thank you for your help.

Is there a problem with slanted windows? I thought they would be easier to see out of.

We don't have friends in the adjoining room. But it was getting the same room for 2 weeks which was a little more difficult. We had an adjoining (oceanview) room on Rhapsody last Sept and never heard a thing. Were we just lucky??

Do you think 2 weeks on PR will be too much? At the moment the cost is too high, but I was thinking if I left things as they are for a few months (we don't go until Sept) IF the prices came down a bit we might be able to have a Balcony for our 2nd week....I know....our chances are not very high. Either of the prices coming down or any being left.....But do you think there would be a problem of feeling clustrophobic for 2 weeks inside.

Thanks again

Sandra

Anyone have any info on Majesty of the Seas room 7018? The deck plans I've looked at have a large white area around the outside of all deck 7 and I've read that all of deck 7 have an obstructed view, but no one mentions obstructed by what??

We have always had aft cabins...so what can I expect of a forward cabin this time around?

Thanks for your time and info!

Its exciting to do two weeks on a cruise-- less unpacking. And if you do have to change cabins the cabin steward will help you move. You are aware that the two weeks will be the same with menu and shows?

Keep watching the price -- the end of sept should be cheap-

The large white area is the outdoor promenade that goes all the way around the ship. I don't recommens deck 78 rooms because it can be loud when people run out there. Although, they do limit the running hours.

The obstruction is the life boats. You're not going to see a whole lot from your window.

Sorry. I don't mean to discourage you. If possible, I highly recommend upgrading to a deck 9 Superior Oceanview.

Quick question! I'm on deck 2 on the Carnival Liberty right under what appears to be the Galley? Am I going to get any sleep?

Depends on where the cabin is -- inside cabin directly in the middle of the galley will get more noise compared to oceanviews on either end.

This will be our first cruise. We've booked cabin 5130 on the Spirit to Alaska. If anyone has input on this cabin, it would be greatly appreciated.;) Thanks, erqueenie

Is a cat 8C extended balcony. Its at the end of the row= he next cabin beside you is in the recessed part of the ship. Which gives you privacy on the one side. Th cabin sleeps 4 people- convertible sofa bed and an upper bed-- which will not be pulled out unless its needed

We are traveling to Alaska in July on the Holland America Ryndam in suite 007 (double o 7 sounds soooo cool).

If anyone has info or pictures that would be great. This is our first trip on HAL, we've done the bigger ships and are really looking forward to this one. We've loved all our cruises and really enjoyed the bigger ships on other lines, but this one is going to be a change. Of course once we had a suite on our anniversary, we haven't been able to go back to a reasonable priced room and so are not cruising as often. But we love the space (I always overpack, lol) and we tend to spread out with more stuff after each port...lol

But, back to the original question, HAL suite 007. Anyone have info?

Thanks in advance,

Does any one know what is across the hall from 3086 on Brilliance. It is the first room after you get off the elevators, aft.

I don't think you have much to worry about on the Brilliance on the third floor. We had an OV., I think it was 3186, and all that floor from the midship elevators back seemed quiet. Couldn't hear anything from the next room, great soundproofing.

However, I can't remember what was across the hall from 3086.

We had 4054 on another cruise, and it was the greatest, close to the glass elevators and centre hallway and extremely quiet and calm especially during a transatlantic cruise.

Can anyone tell me if this cabin is a problem - R-302? It is on the Rivera Deck (14) under Lido (15) but cabins above and below.

My husband has gout so we try and book a handicapped cabin, if possible, in case he has a flare up and needs a wheel chair. That happened once and it was a challenge getting him in and out of the cabin. :)

It looks ok, but would feel better if someone knows it is. It is a 12 night cruise!

Thanks !

I was curious about these 5A cabins with French Doors & Railings. Cabins 4105-4155, 4188. Are these French doors and railings just for looks? Do the doors open? They seem to be priced just a little bit more than the inside cabins but you would be getting some kind of a view. Right? Are they good value or should they be avoided?

some doors open-- some 5A cabins only have a window. Most cabins will have Lifeboats will be out the door-= you can not go outside. (IMHO-- if you have little ones-- I dont think this would be a good cabin. ) if you can get a cabin between lifeboats your view out will be p[erfect with no obstructions.

I have 2 pictures from below looking up with the lifeboats blocking the doors. These pictures were taken on the Carnival Spirit this past February. Hope these help a bit.

Did you have any problems being in a 5A since they are above the Atlantic deck (piano bar etc) with noise at all or where they pretty quite?

I am assigned to 4144 on the Legend (had booked a 1A gty, so a pretty sweet sounding upgrade, assuming it's not too noisy).
