  1. I'm going to have to disagree with the no drinks from the room for those that are in a suite that get the 6 bottle setup. There are no posted rules concerning it, but it comes as part of your fare, it's a perk for booking an upper suite. Since you have already paid for it there should be no problem with taking it out and about on the ship. Just my opinion, I'm sure others may not agree with it. But, if you request wine as part of your 6 bottles you can take it to dinner, and there is no corkage, just like any ship supplied wine or one you buy onboard. Probably not a dilemma I will have anytime soon. What you bring onboard with you is another kettle of fish, or bottle of rum altogether.
  2. I'd be interested, depending on the fare. We've done 32 days, a little long, but a double TA sounds fun.
  3. I guess I'm confused. Did you accept the air or not? You do know you can counter also?
  4. Concerning the wine, there will be many in the future, just like now, that will bring their own wine as they want something better than the offerings on the Wine By The Glass menu. Should be an elementary concept.
  5. After reading through the review I'm wondering if there was anything you liked about the Owner's Suite and Oceania. It all seems to focus on the negatives.
  6. Historically it's been Guest Services. Things are a changing though. Just check when you get onboard.
  7. For some reason this is not a problem for me. I'm not in charge of this dept. If the employee is happy with the arrangement or unhappy with the arrangement, I let that be between them and their employer. Why does it matter to you?
  8. You can take this for what it's worth, as I've never been on Viking. BUT, to be fair to Oceania if you are going to compare the Viking Ocean to Oceania you might want to wait until you've been on an O ship or the new Allura class. Then I think you'll have a more apples to apples comparison.
  9. Take a 4 x 4 tour to the East side of the Island in Barbados. You can go to a beach anywhere.
  10. Someone posted the new package a few months ago. I know Oban is now on it, but not sure about Talisker. You might ask @shepherd really.
  11. What is your favorite scotch?
  12. Yeah, I was a bit thrown off by the order and they bring it to your table bit. Terrace don’t do that. Makes sense now that I understand we’re talking about Waves.
  13. Most newcomers don’t understand this area. There is no drink service or service of any kind there. You are on your own
  14. I believe this depends on whether you book direct or through a Travel Agency.
  15. Thanks for your review. A pretty much realistic portrayal of Oceania.
  16. From my reading of the article it appears this HAS NOT happened yet, they are just talking about it. Probable, but not a done deal. Did I read that wrong?
  17. How's that? There are some real helpful people here, not me of course, I'm just here for comic relief.
  18. This also has been our past experience, oh wait, no way Teresa is going to let me upgrade without her doing it to.
  19. I've got to the point unless there's something in it for me I don't fill out surveys.
  20. Well there you go, it's hard to get Summer Sale pricing on a cruise it's not offered on. The Ultimate vs Simply More is usually going to be better, it's the SS you really save on. Looks like a great itinerary you're on. Have you been to NZ & OZ before?
  21. I'm pretty sure your cruises or cruise is not on the Summer Sale, that would be a real good reason why what you have is better. It seems it was only compared to current pricing with the Simply More. The big savings is on the 72 cruises on the Summer Sale. Regatta only has Jan 25-Feb 8th during that time period on the Summer Sale. Are you on that one?
