  1. And with free laundry and unlimited caviar. Lol
  2. Once again I find many of these posts baffling everyone says it's a different company a new cruise line -- starting from scratch only thing bought was name and ships BUT i want same storage space I want bridge or I wont cruise I want dance hosts I want Nobu I want my Crystal status I want old single supplement policy I could go on You just can't have it both ways. It is not the old Crystal. It may be better; it may be worse You wont know until you sail.
  3. Dancing on Cunard is an art form. If you are a ballroom dancer there is no better place to be. Just watching is fun.

And you will get a balcony. Lol
  5. tethered to my iPhone if I connect with it? Good workaround. One device is insane in today's day and age. Every other cruise line I sail includes free wifi, multiple devices. For what I am paying for QG it seems tacky.
  6. We are avid cruisers This will be our second Cunard cruise, the first on QE last year. We will be on QM2 for a b2b crossing in September. Internet: when you buy the package for the entire cruise, how many devices can you connect at the same time? Prebooking Spa: I know you can book 6 months out. Do they apply your OBC or is it charged immediately to your credit card Prebooking Alternative dining: Are you able to prebook? Same question about cost being applied to OBC or separate credit card charge. Thanks in advance for the help.
  7. You don't have to wait 60 days from sailing. I asked my TA to do it soon as I got home and my sailing in 8 months away. The request is already in. And it was my butler who suggested I do it!
  8. We utilize our butler and we tip very generously at the end of the cruise. I liked my butler on Voyager so much that we requested him for our Grandeur cruise (he will be on our cruise and told us we could make the request).
  9. Maybe not. Shouldn't everyone be a valued former cruiser? Cruisers who booked top suites on long cruises did pay the pills for sure. Those are the ones who lost the most money. Tens of thousands. They don't care about those loyal customers either. It's a new company, of course. No obligations.
  10. There is one luxury cruise line that currently has sAudi Arabia as a stop. can’t recall which one i looked. Silversea
  11. we drink very little So we are hardly using the included alcohol We are not taking the included tours. we do let them do our laundry LOLOL Not stopping me from booking Regent.
  12. I'm out on my own here. I think the Regent tours are just awful I am booking only private going forward. In more than 20 years of cruising we always booked private tours. We researched and hand picked our guide (and only got the very best), went where we wanted, stayed as much time as we wanted, stopped where we wanted to, left when we wanted to. We usually had a group of 8 MAX. We were never on bus and never followed a guide holding a flag and shouting out information. On some tours, we actually were invited to the guide's home. I am still in touch with many of the guides I have used and used some multiple times. I often refer guides to others. You really get to know a culture when you can have a personal conversation. Plus, I refuse to wait for 23 women to take bathroom stop. LOL Call me a tour snob. I am. I want an authentic personalized experience. I want to ask questions and have an exchange of information. The only way to get that is with your own guide. I just returned from 3 weeks on the Voyager. I took one tour at the beginning that was fine because we just boarded a boat. There was no touring or stopping -- just the water and some glorious animals. The only Regent tours I would consider are those involving a boat or those involving just transportation to a town where you go off on your own. We are Regent converts. We think it's great in every respect -- except for the tours.
  13. Seabourn, which is NOT my favorite cruise line, has amazing itineraries with unusual ports. It has always been the case. For example, we are stopping in several ports on the Turquoise Coast in April. No one else goes there.
  14. Because the new crystal is not seabourn and seabourn did it when crystal was defunct as a smart marketing tool to attract crystal refugees Why would the new crystal need to attract your business? The devotees are going no matter what

We will been Encore in April This will be our 4th Seabourn cruise. Seabourn has many good features Entertainment and enrichment was not their strength but it has been a while since we have cruised with them. Our last Seabourn cruise was 2017 in Antartica which, of course, is sui generis. A lot can change in 5 years. Given Nancygp's reports, I am really optimistic. Just hoping we can survive without a butler. LOL
  16. Logic has gone out the window in this regard
  17. But wasn't that a different company?????? LOL
  18. Policy schmolicy It will only work if the pool staff actually follows the policy and removes items from the chairs. We all know how reluctant the staff is to offend a guest. And do they really have time to keep track of 30 minutes for every chair? Reminds me of the old days when the traffic people would mark your tires to see if you overstayed your welcome in the your parking spot. I am pessimistic. Good intentions but I doubt it will work Silversea is worse when it comes to chair hogs but that's because there are fewer places with shade on SS ships.
  19. my 2 cruises had great entertainment and enrichment (former Crystal lectures in fact!!)

one opinion which is true about al the opinions about other lines on this thread. NancyGP posted how much she enjoyed Seabourn and booked more cruises. We now think Regent and SS are just as good if not better than Crystal Another posted thought food on SS was awful. Others think if it's not Crystal it's not worth sailing. This is true now and will be after the new Crystal finally sails.
  21. That was always a problem for us when we booked Crystal We like sea days. With only 2 ships, itineraries are limited and crossings few. Plus, sea days were the draw to Crystal -- all those great activities If you love sea days, take a look at Silversea LAX to Vancouver April 2025 19 days -- 11 sea days. My kind of itinerary
