  1. Ugh. Looks like I'll have 2 sea days having to mentally remember the time is off.
  2. I'm going to be on the Summit to Bermuda in a few weeks and have a couple of questions... 1 - When there is a time change as there will be on this one, if your phone is connected to the ship internet, will it automatically change (like when there is a time change going on or off DST)? My watch is a FitBit which connects to my phone - I don't have a manual change watch any longer. Just trying to plan if I need to figure out if I can manually change my phone if it doesn't change automatically if connected. 2 - I've signed up for the World Wine Tour through the planner. Looking at the schedule in the app for my cruise (I know not 100% accurate until on board) as well as the cruise last week and the cruise this week, it is not listed anywhere - other things like Mixology, Food and Wine Pairing, etc. that are bookable in advance are visible on the schedule. If they don't do it for whatever reason, I'd get the money back as an OBC, right - and probably a letter in my cabin about it?
  3. I agree with the not for me. The Edge class solo IVs I love.
  4. They look more like tiny padded cells to me. The interior cabins that aren't the studios appear to be a bit bigger.
  5. My E-Docs which I just printed off on Friday say 2 per person.
  6. Is the OBC refunded to those affected refundable or non-refundable? I'm not sure if it will apply to me after upgrading mine earlier, but just in case, I'm curious.
  7. Thank you for this!! I'm on the Summit to Bermuda in 29 days, and I totally get how easy it is to start freaking out reading all the negativity. It's my birthday cruise, first time in Aqua, first time on the Summit (second Celebrity cruise - other was Edge in mid-Feb 2020), and first time to Bermuda, so I'm definitely trying to stay as positive as I can. I'm going to try my best to do a Live From if people aren't sick of them yet to give my perspective on my experience. 🙂 (I think I did one when I was on the Edge...it's been a few years.)
  8. I printed off my cruise e-docs YESTERDAY for my Summit cruise out of NJ and it clearly stated 2 bottles of wine per person.
  9. That's what I did and it was perfect FOR ME. Different strokes for different folks.
  10. What airline makes you pay for a gate-checked bag carry-on if the overheads are out of room?? On all the ones I've flown they don't charge in that case - they only charge for a gate-check if someone somehow got a too large bag through TSA and it doesn't fit in the sizer or the overhead bin. If it's correct size and there is no room, no charge to gate-check.
  11. Does anyone know if this has shown up on the Summit yet? I'd LOVE to do it!
  12. Whereas I travel solo and LOVE the solo IV - so much better than the coffin-looking indoor things NCL passes off as actual cabins or paying double for a different type of room (not to mention if you do AI as a solo, unless you're in the solo cabin you're paying double for the AI package). Different strokes and all that.
  13. Thanks. I'll probably just do a beach towel on the sand then. Just me, so no need for 2 chairs.
  14. Are there pre-packaged snacks that you can have? If so, I'd plan on bringing a box of those along with you. *Most* ports, pre-packaged things are ok to take off (again, check with the Retreat Concierge), and it's not like your butler can just pop out to the local grocery store if it's not something they normally carry on board. I'd be very surprised if any port allowed unpackaged (as in factory packaged) food to be taken off the ship which would severely limit what your butler could give you.
  15. Either that or NOT getting their bribe the next day. Or both.
  16. Tatiana Maslany is in it also. Both brilliant.
  17. If you like creepy/psychological thriller stuff, I HIGHLY recommend Grey House!!!! It's a "straight play" meaning not musical, but it is amazing!! I'm still thinking about it days later!
  18. It should be. Today is a lot better so far. I know NYRR is going ahead with their women's 10K on Saturday since in consultation with experts it is expected to continue to improve. Wednesday was INSANE! We had remote professional development yesterday (kids were already scheduled to be out), and they made today remote in an abundance of caution. It was really creepy watching buildings just disappear from view and it smelled like a giant camp fire.
  19. For anyone getting on Sunday, don't assume anything if there is "lots of coughing" - especially from people who live in the tri-state area or who came in early. We've been hit super hard with the smoke from Canada. It's looking better today so far, but residual coughing remains.
  20. That's one way to lose weight on a cruise. I'd throw up everything I ate doing that. Burpees are the devil.
  21. When I was on the Edge, there would be some squeaking while lowering the window in my room - never heard anything from the rooms on either side. NEVER heard any squeaking on the rare occasion I lowered the blinds (ONLY when I was doing a cabin tour) or raised them up (every night after my stateroom attendant lowered them - I never saw them to tell them please don't after the first day meeting before they lowered them at night).
  22. Oh, sorry! I just saw this. No - I ended up not trying it.
  23. Just make a dummy reservation and then when the itinerary you want comes out, move it?
