  1. Did they offer any compensation since you'd paid for Premium but not everything that should have worked with Premium did?
  2. Have they removed the impacted sailings from inventory for new bookings? Or are they continuing to take new bookings which will inevitably be cancelled?
  3. This may well be cruise line specific. Disney Cruise Line, for example, has a supervisor's desk at the port where people may go to see if there are any available upgrades and what the cost would be.
  4. BUT you don't get the nasty mixed taste from whatever concoction the person before you at the freestyle machines had. The only place I use those is at the movie theater - where there is no choice - and I let my selected beverage run for a couple of seconds before I put my cup underneath to clear the spout from lord only knows what flavors other people had. It usually works - but occasionally I still get a weird taste.
  5. YES! I wish more people got this. Take a moment (or a few) to address issues while on the cruise so that they can work on correcting things. After the fact, there is nothing they can do to help you.
  6. I'm 51, but yeah. I rarely need to print anything and if I do I just go to the library and do it.
  7. My biggest tip for that with the buffet is use a salad-sized plate for everything, not just the salad. Smaller surface = less food put on there.
  8. That is exactly what they are doing though. Cancelling some people randomly.
  9. Ditto. Well, IF I have checked bags (rare). I'm amazed at the number of people who still have home printers.
  10. The only reason I could possibly see is if they are close to releasing a new group of itineraries and you're pretty sure you want that but obviously can't book an exact cruise at the moment (like you want Europe 2025 which is not out yet but will be before the expiration date on the cruise later deposit). Otherwise, nope - I'll either book a specific cruise or not book at all.
  11. Yes, but some people are set in their ways and have always called it a very dry (or bone dry) cappuccino. Just like people will order an "upside down caramel macchiato" which is a vanilla latte with caramel drizzle.
  12. You're welcome! We had some regulars who would say "bone dry" rather than very dry - meant the same thing.
  13. As a former barista... Double would mean 2 shots of espresso. The wet or dry refers to the milk and foam ratio. A typical cappuccino is pretty much equal parts milk and foam. A wet cappuccino would be more milk than foam (closer to a latte). A dry cappuccino would be more foam than milk. (a very dry cappuccino would be only foam on the espresso.)
  14. Reading this has definitely made me think. I am in Aqua so have the Classic Package, standard WiFi, and prepaid grats. I'd upgraded to premium WiFi and the Premium Bev package and was reconsidering the Premium Bev package (keeping the premium WiFi for instagram and the like - still pondering if I want to do a Live report on here as other people do them so much better) - but I'm afraid to cancel the premium upgrade for fear that it'll cancel the Bev package all together. Ugh.
  15. I've never had a problem asking for extra veggies. My servers have always been happy to bring more on a different plate.
  16. Or, more specifically, the sob story they have concocted to get more money out of you. And the more they expand the sob story, the more they get out of people who actually think their new best friend server is being honest.
  17. Have we ever determined if it includes soft drinks and stuff?
  18. Yeah, I'd have to find my scrapbook, but I'm pretty sure I have pictures inside Westminster. I kind of hate that they gave up fighting it at the Academia and allow pictures now. It was wonderful when I was in Florence 12 years ago and no photos were allowed. You could really appreciate the David for itself without dealing with people trying to get the perfect selfie.
  19. Agreed. Honestly, I'm pretty easy going, but if having to listen to a stupid made up game is interrupting my relaxing/reading time, I will be at Guest Services complaining about it.
