  1. What often happens is that the system "thinks" that your membership will expire before your next cruise so it doesn't let you book with the discount. What SHOULD happen is that since your membership is valid today, the discount should be applied even if you are booking a cruise today for 2025. When this has happened to me, what I did was book anyway (without the discount). On one occasion, the discount was applied automatically and shown on my confirmation pdf. The total price was less than what I had seen on the screen just minutes before. On another occasion, the discount was not applied automatically nor shown on my confirmation pdf. I simply called with my confirmation number and told the rep my Voyager's Club number. Since it was still a valid number on that day, the discount was applied and I received a new confirmation pdf. (same booking number) a few minutes later. It might be a little bit more complicated if you are waiting for points to be added in order to reach a new status level but the member discount shouldn't be a problem to get.
  2. The Bamboo Pool is about 4 1/2 feet (1.4 meters) deep. The Atmosphere Pool has "islands" but I don't remember the depths. There's a kids' pool in the Polar Aquapark area. The Horizon Pool (Adults only) is about 5 feet (1.5 meters) deep. I believe that the Yacht Club pool is one that doesn't have any shallow section. I might have to go back and look at some pictures to see the depth ranges for the pools.
  3. Breakaway/Getaway are known for their notoriously shallow side balconies. There are larger balconies but most will cost you more. The angled balconies are the same price as standard but they're about 50% larger.
  4. One of my 3 (the middle one) was booked through MSC's concierge service while the other 2 were booked online. For a long time, I couldn't see the balance online nor did I have the option to pay the balance online for the middle one. After some time, it became "normal" like the other 2 when MSC made a change of some kind on the website. I usually pay online but I have made final payment over the phone. When the website was acting up and wouldn't let me pay, I called and everything was fine. You might have to call and make the final payment over the phone.
  5. I also currently have 3 bookings with MSC. All are deposit only but I can see/pay the balance on all 3 of them. I'm in no rush to pay any of them (especially the one that is over 760 days away) but I can see/do it online.
  6. You don't "have to" put down the recommended amounts to your onboard account. Since you have pre-paid pretty much everything, you can just add whatever amount that you plan to spend on extras like souvenirs, spa treatments, etc. You can also use cash but Canadian money is funny looking so you might want to exchange it for USA money, eh? 😁
  7. "Jumped back in my lowrider Comin' out feelin' about ten pounds lighter" - Ice Cube Free DSC removal to the 1st person who names the song. 😁
  8. One change that was made on Seascape as far as the Yacht Club pergolas is that on Seashore, you would have to use towels to build (or have an attendant build) a shield to block out the sun. On Seascape, there is a more permanent solution for the pergolas.... I still prefer the old cabanas that Seaside/Seaview have but the white roof/curtains on Seascape is better than the towel solution on Seashore.
  9. Seashore/Seascape are basically identical..... ...and you can see the tables/chairs that are in the shade. You can also drag (or have an attendant drag) a lounger to the same area for some shade. No. When you are on the ship, speak to the Yacht Club concierge as soon as possible. No, you just show up. They may ask you what time frame that you would prefer just to make it easier for them to plan ahead but you are not tied to any time. Don't be surprised if your butler asks if he/she can escort you to dinner every evening.
  10. It was 2 with an option for a 3rd. The option for the 3rd wasn't taken then the 2nd was cancelled.
  11. The neighbors won't have anything to compare/contrast as far as other ships. You can tell them that on other ships, guests share a bathroom down the hall. Compared to that, Epic's "bathroom" set-up is great. Epic's ugliness will be exposed anytime that another ship is in port. There's not much that you can do about that. 🫤
  12. The higher the deck, the shorter the walk is to the elevators. The lower the deck, the longer the walk is to the elevators. https://www.ncl.com/sites/default/files/Ship_Map_JOY_06142022.pdf
  13. You did pick the ugliest ship in the fleet...🥴
  14. The main bed splits into 2 smaller beds.
  15. Taking the PBP as part of the Free At Sea promo will cost $152.60 per person for a 7 day cruise ($21.80 pppd).
  16. My first time on Escape was in 2016. IIRC, Escape allowed shorts in all MDRs (incl. Manhattan Room) from the time that it went into service in late 2015.
  17. Generally, Escape doesn't require long pants in the Manhattan Room or in any MDR. Bayamo and Le Bistro are the only 2 on Escape that are "Smart Casual". It varies by ship and on occasion, it varies by itinerary. Enforcement can always vary. Usually, someone on the forum is asking about the dress code. Some forum members get upset when the code isn't enforced. Some forum members get upset when the code is enforced. It's just one of the classic CC thread topics...
  18. Those under 21 (guests 3-8) don't get charged anything for the FAS beverage promo. Initially, the system does add the service charges for the PBP but once the age of guests 3-8 is entered, the service charge disappears if anyone 3-8 is under 21 years-old at the time of sailing.
  19. Actually, it's ALL adults in the stateroom (guests 1-8) if any other adult wants a package (promo or purchase).
  20. The dailies for your cruise will tell you which restaurants require long pants.
  21. Many people don't realize that last part. Someone might figure "...it's the last day...if I get caught, it's only a few hours without a package..." but NCL is fully capable of charging for EVERY drink ordered on the ship from day 1 if the terms are violated by the guest. It's not worth the risk even if many get away with it.
  22. For 17132/17732, there is a balcony that is wider than standard. As noted in the video, there are some negatives because of the location.
  23. It's probably less than 50/50 as far as the success rate of having anyone in the Yacht Club getting their pre-cruise selections correctly delivered. You can respond to the email for fun but be prepared to make your selections again on the ship.
