Boarding NCL. Why are the cabins not open till after 2pm?
Two Wheels Only replied to ace2542's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
Part of it depends on when the previous guest left the stateroom. One of the reasons that suites may be available earlier is because the previous suite guest left the ship earlier. The announcement that staterooms are ready may be in the afternoon but some staterooms are ready before 11:30a. Also, since suite guests tend to arrive and board earlier (priority boarding), the staff tends to have those staterooms available earlier. -
3 out of 4 of ours worked on Seashore. I didn't stay long or order anything at the bar. I was just taking pictures on a sea day. Strangely, my card didn't work to access the Yacht Club but my wristband did work.....MSC tech.

Yacht Club guests can wander into that area, too. 😁

If your stateroom is in the Haven complex, the guest's picture will show on the concierge's computer when the card is scanned. In other words, if your mom scans your card and tries to enter the Haven complex, the concierge will know that the person walking in is not the actual Haven guest associated with that card. If your stateroom is OUTSIDE of the Haven complex, she can enter the stateroom with your card. I'm guessing that it is a HI ("eye") and not a H1 (one). The H1 has plenty of room for a 4th person.

There are many threads that ask a similar question.... Some more general information here.... https://cruisewestcoast.com/cruise-tips-advice/cruise-butlers

I'd put MSC's Yacht Club sundeck as the best comparison to NCL's Haven sundeck. All ages of Yacht Club guests are allowed on their sundeck.

Wonder OTS has the Suite Neighborhood which is also child-friendly.

The connecting door is near the front entrance door. As you enter the suite, the connecting door is 90 degrees to your side and the small bathroom is directly in front of you.

Escape Aft Haven Penthouse Suite - Bathroom by Balcony
Two Wheels Only replied to Livabeth's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
Whichever is near the balcony is the larger of the 2. If the bedroom is near the balcony, the bathroom is smaller. If the bathroom is near the balcony, the bedroom is smaller. The living room/smaller bathroom is the same configuration no matter what the bedroom/master bathroom configuration is. -

Decks 11 and 14 have the configuration that you want on Escape. -
All Dinner Reservations Filled?!?!
Two Wheels Only replied to movierev's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
Only about 30% of reservations are available online. The rest open on embarkation day. -
I remember one time when both of those promos were available for a cruise BUT the cruise price had risen to the point that the new total was higher than what I had already booked. 🤪

On rare occasions, the waived DSC is one of the Free At Sea promos. In those cases, nothing is taken out of the onboard account on a daily basis IF the guest has that promo.

"You push, I pull" - port side "No, YOU push, and I'll pull" - starboard side 😝

For the Breakaway Plus Class of ships (Escape/Joy/Bliss/Encore), the size order for depth is 9, 12, 15, 14, 11, 10, 13 from deepest to least deep. The sizes and configurations of the staterooms are the same throughout the class but the stateroom numbers can be slightly different. The bed location can be near the balcony or near the closet. There are also slight differences in balcony width within each deck even if the configurations are the same. For example, Bliss 9324 and 9922 are both the same configuration (bed near closet) and both balconies are the same depth but the balcony for 9922 is slightly wider than the balcony for 9324.

Based on that, you shouldn't be worrying about what the "rule police" are doing. 😉 If you are in the Haven and you witness another Haven guest telling the concierge "Adrien, there's a 14 year-old on the sundeck...", you shouldn't worry whether Adrien says "I'll allow it.." or "I'll have the child removed from the area immediately..." since you're on vacation and not worrying about what others are doing. You're not going to worry about the 14 year-old on the sundeck. You're not going to worry about the "rule police" who reports the 14 year-old. You're not going to worry about what the concierge decides.

Even when buying one online, the description for size is OSFM (one size fits most). They are too short and the slippers are too small. MSC Yacht Club robes fit better and the slippers are larger, too. However, sometimes the Yacht Club slippers just have the "MSC" logo on them and other times, they have the "Yacht Club" logo on them.

I have a few questions just for clarification..... Were there any serious injuries that you could see? Are you more upset with the crew members that were on the tender or with the crew members that you spoke to at Guest Services? Do you believe that Guest Services was told one thing by the tender crew (and accepted that as the truth) and didn't believe your version of events? Do you believe that Guest Services tried to sweep everything under the rug or minimize the event by lying to you? What could Guest Services have done to better handle the situation while you were on the ship? What could Guest Relations have done to better handle the situation after you had returned home?

Review of YC on Meraviglia October 23 - 30, 2022
Two Wheels Only replied to JAGR's topic in MSC Cruises
I also prefer the Seaside/Seaside EVO ships but I actually enjoyed Meraviglia more than I thought that I would. -

Haven Tipping! Yes! A tipping thread! We’re back!
Two Wheels Only replied to roger001's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
You can't do it wrong. As long as you feel that you tipped the appropriate amount, you did it right. Nobody on the forum can legitimately tell you that you were wrong...no matter how much over or under the average you are.
