  1. I could be mistaken, but I believe Haven goes first, then people with physical disabilities. When we last traveled with my dad, we had to wait until after Haven boarded.
  2. At first, I did not think I would like the idea of the same menu every night, but after seeing the menu, I do like it better. For us, there are good options (dessert could be better). In the past, I always had to research what nights we wanted to eat in the MDR based on the menu. When we stayed in the Haven this past February, we ate there four times, and I got the same meal three times.
  3. How much is it if you get permission to invite a non-Haven guest to join you for diner in the Haven?
  4. I thought the same thing when we boarded the Joy two weeks ago. They also used that parking for the overflow then.
  5. As always, looking forward to following your cruise. Have an wonderful time!
  6. Just wanted to say welcome back to the NCL boards!!! Since we were interested in a Celebrity cruise a while ago, I have kept up with you there.
  7. Do they show up where the CruiseNext certificates show up?
  8. We just opened the link they sent about ten minutes before the appointment time and then the proctor came on on-time . The proctor emailed us our official results immediately. The whole process took no more than 15 minutes.
  9. Agree with above responses---we have used them twice and it was very, very easy. I was worried the first time and had our young adult son on hand just in case we needed help to figure it out when the testing time came. Then when we used them again a few weeks ago, I felt confident my husband and I could do it on our own.
  10. Just got off the Joy last Tuesday and we stayed in a penthouse suite. The only significant difference is the cabin size. Not all embarkation ports recognize the priority check-in and embarkation you are suppose to receive. If you want a much bigger cabin and balcony, then it is worth it. If that is not important to you, then stick with the club balcony suite.
  11. The Joy had coke products on our sailing last week. Really enjoyed my rum and diet coke.
  12. Just off the Joy and our pre-purchased Vibe passes were coded to our room key. Went to the Vibe right after lunch. The wristbands were in an envelope in our cabin. Regarding shade, there was little to be had.
  13. Very helpful topic. We are looking to purchase Anchorage to Seward for August 2023. Am I correct that the train goes directly to the cruise terminal? We will be on the NCL Jewel and are flying into Anchorage two days before our sailing. First time Alaska cruises so I have so much research to do.
  14. My guess is yes! My brother-in-law asked for the 10% the week before and was told no. We have not told him yet he was a week late.
  15. We just got off the Joy this morning. I inquired about the extra 10% discount and received it. If I did not ask, we would of not received it.
  16. Wow....another cruise and live report so soon! Really looking forward to reading about your sailing as you (and your dad ) are one of my favorites. Have an wonderful cruise!
  17. Really love the Tex-Mex idea. At one time, mozzarella sticks could be had for free at O'Sheehans. Would love for them to bring them back to the Local/O'Sheenhans.
  18. When we sailed on the Joy this past February as a Haven guest, we ate lunch the American Diner. Next week, we will back to our usual lunch at Local/O'Sheehans.
  19. Thank you for the Kayak recommendation as my husband loves kayaking. I believe he owns four. The helicopter tours is a definite no for me. We are looking at the Encore as it includes Glacier Bay.
  20. Their government is doing what they think is best for them. We are happily complying on our sailing next week as when we booked, we knew the requirements.
