  1. We’re in the same boat, so to speak. 😂 We’ll just hold onto ours too. See what happens. Since then, the last 3 cruises have all been different….. we’ve gotten obc, extra obc and once honored for the 15 coffees. Doubt we’ll get the 15 coffees honored though, as they probably updated their system OB since the last 3 mos? 😩 Who knows? Keep me posted with your Sep. cruise.
  2. Yes, when you board, you’ll see crew members selling the packages on Day 1 and some ships also on Day 2. You can also buy It on the App, once OB. You can use OBC to buy it and you also save the amount of insurance you would have paid precruise on it.
  3. I wonder where the emailing delay is? It should be programatic. I hope it’s not outsourced and that’s the reason for the delays.
  4. No, it’s not. I usually get it a few days after the cruise. Always check junk mail. This 3 mos later email, was probably due to your calls and that’s how long it took them to respond. If they processed your refund, that’s the most important thing. I always get a copy of my final folio while OB and do screenshots of it the last day. So there’s no surprises.
  5. You can do it in you cabin. A chuckle for the day. Thanks 😂 Seriously, is there room in an inside for the table and chairs setup? IDK haven’t stayed in an inside, but some ships inside cabins are very small.
  6. Was just the Royal class ships: Royal, Regal, Majestic, Sky, Enchanted & Discovery etc. Not sure if they added to the list. There was some talk of other ships, maybe someone will chime in on the Crown.
  7. Just wear slacks and a nice or dressy top if that is comfortable for you. It is your vacation, just enjoy. It seems a bit more casual than in the past. Some will be formal and others not so much. South Pacific cruises you may see a little more tropical wear, shirts or dresses, etc.
  8. Not sure, since the have so many depts. handling different aspects of accounting. But, they may be able to direct your inquiry to the right dept. It wouldn’t hurt. Your OBC should come from the ship to accounting. Good luck. Keep us posted.
  9. Just ask at GS. I would imagine they have a few OB, they need them for people with a pacemaker, if their Dr suggests that. The OM is magnetic too. Throw it on your frig.
  10. Yes, either the first night at dinner or you might ask at the embarkation lunch in the MDR, if you go there for lunch.
  11. I wouldn’t doubt that the recent outage of PCL website has something to do with this. Check your junk mail. When were they purchased? Aarp will say call the PCL CS and they will take care of you. I told, NO, they will not. They have no idea what to do. Then they say, call the PCL gift card dept. NO, they have nothing to do with these GC’s purchased from AARP. So, then they said, OK, we will escalate it to our supervisor and they will work with PCL. Yes…that was the answer!! They resolved it the next day. Good luck to you!

They started in 2018 and it was simplistic, in the fact that the OB experience worked very well and was carefully rolled out about 2 ships at a time for testing with OB IT techs living on the ships. Problems began after the restart, adding too much, too soon without much testing. Painstakingly trying to fix each issue. I haven’t really had App issues, like others have posted. It’s also worked without any problems once OB for me. I mostly use my iphone precruise, which I continually keep it updated and clear cache/history. So, don’t understand why so many have corrupted data files. It seems to coincide with IT fixes and their inability to correct them. The other problem, is all the changes that PCL has made with beverage packages, price increases, etc. This has kept IT busy trying to update the App. They’ve also redesigned the App a few times. No excuse, just that they have not been capable of keeping up. The website is full of old information.
  16. No, haven’t heard. But, they better get the App working DMW first, before updating it again. Many are reporting issues again.
  17. If I were you, I’d wait a little to order your OM. Only because they have been “trying” to update the App OM portion. Two weeks ago, they did make some changes. IDK if they changed the $10 error charge for Plus/Premier guests. They did take out the option for standard guests to pay $10 and have shipped. Leaving standard guests only an option to pickup at port. I thought that might have been their fix for not charging Plus guests. I sure hope not, but who knows? Did you just recently try to order? If you do order, give feedback. Some guests reported $10 credit already posted once OB. Some say never charged on their CC. Ridiculous this has been an issue so long. I really don’t know if the phone line will have an idea, you can try. Pick the option for Ocean Ready team.
  18. Never out of fashion, if it’s something you enjoy. MDR on sea days is great time to enjoy a relaxing tea. We enjoy the elite tea in our room on sea days!

  20. Our cruises look like dud’s compared to yours! 😂 Our European, South Pacific and TA’s were nothing like that. But, a lot of these were since the restart. I only saw the doors on our deck though. A few were decorated. I’d say if you have room in your suitcase, bring a costume and join in!

  22. It is great. And I found out if you’re traveling to South America, it’s a must. They really use it more than anything, especially the tour operators, taxi drivers, etc.
  23. They do somewhat decorate the ship, mostly the Piazza and around the buffet. It quickly comes down by the next day. Some guests dress up, but most don’t. It’s fun to see the crew dress up in their outfits. Depends on the area of the world you’re in. More so on Caribbean or Mexican cruises, that I have seen. We didn’t dress up in costume, absolutely no room in our suitcases. We are on a cruise every Halloween, just about.
