  1. They will grandfather and grandfather those of us that they see fit. We can try and guess but I have other and much better things to do; like pack for my next Carnival cruise adventure!
  2. It's called future expansion plans. Every major company has a team of usually higher paid suits to figure these things out. We all have to wait and see what happens. Could be new ports being built further from these suspension bridges, could be dredging machines/vessels lowering the water levels during sail away or could be moving to another port location? They will figure it all out rather than losing revenue. Trust me on this one!
  3. This is the unfortunate times that we are living in! No respect for anyone, no respect from anyone, anything or any cultural values being taught and/or observed. I always do my part to instill and enhance the life values to people (especially younger people) that I speak with. How about You?
  4. I am a parent so I can say this. Proper actions and discipline are learned behaviors starting at home. I never expected Carnival to babysit our children. I am surprised at the 1:00 AM timeframe? Should have been a bit earlier. We have to allow kids to be kids but we also have to allow Carnival to run a safe business.
  5. My personal preference has always been inside cabins. I am not a fan of cabins at the back of any ship. Had an offer to upgrade to the last cabin at the back on a mid deck. No way.
  6. I am glad I never really understood the whole bacon thing? It taste good but everything that taste good is not good for you. When I do get bacon I get a few slices and leave some for the person behind me. I have literally seen people hold up the breakfast buffet line demanding 10 more slices of bacon! It's about enjoying our cruise adventures, indulging a bit while still taking care of ourselves.
  7. Basic economics 102. Major food companies do it all the time. Less product in that air bag of chips but the same price. You are getting less for the same money. Carnival will do this until the consumers push back and say enough is enough!
  8. My neighbor was on his first Carnival Cruise and did not gamble one dollar while on the Cruise. However, he has just booked his third Carnival Cruise with the Casino Deals sent to his email address. The selected cruisers are supposed to be randomly selected? It seems that he has already become a loyal Carnival Cruiser. Go figure.
  9. I am not fond of our room keys hanging out in our room door mail box. However, if this process can speed up any thing about the onboarding process I am all for it.
  10. Welcome to the Carnival Pride. One of our most likes ships. I can't comment on a New Years Eve Cruise but we did cruise the week before Christmas and has an absolute blast. Carnival passed out Christmas hats to all guests and was really a festive time. Whatever you do choose FUN!
  11. Guys is good but my first choice (salmon bagel with mushrooms and tomatoes) and the other deli sandwiches with fresh veggies and toppings,
  12. Welcome to the World of the Carnival Cruise Nuts. Congratulations on your 50th year together! We have been faithfully cruising with Carnival for over two decades and still enjoy every minute of the voyages. We have sailed with as many as 20 family members with zero issues. Enjoy the Adventure!
  13. At least Carnival didn't cancel the pre cruise testing and the next day raise the cruise prices! Shame on that Cruise Line for that move.
  14. What ever happened to just "read the rules" and follow them? We are all guilty, at times, of over-complicating our lives!
  15. As always just board the ship and enjoy the voyage!!! See how simple life can be!
  16. I am just thankful to have been able to Cruise for decades! Not concerned about my level of cruising as each time I board a Carnival Ship it's like the first time! That's what status means to me.
  17. I agree with Blerk. I am in way paranoid about cruising. I am concerned as to why people are still refusing to comply with the vaccine suggestions? I will continue to be as transparent as I possibly can. I never had a choice as to take the vaccines or not. I had to protect my family members that would be seriously compromised if they were to get the virus. I feel it was the only thing to do. I will continue cruising, wearing my mask when and where needed and practice safety at all times. Could we still get the virus while onboard; certainly. However, I know that if I were to catch the virus at least I know I did my part!!!
  18. Thanks. The distinction is there. Just trying to show that even larger "for profit" organizations should at least try and show a bit of empathy and compassion. I know that is an unknown entity in this Country. This is what all companies should strive for; total customer and corporate satisfaction.
  19. The bottom line profitability should not be their only concern. Certainly they have to make a grand showing for the major stockholders and the board members. What about the average individual who is working hard every day and still can't save a dollar?, what about the single mom who just needs to get away and loves cruising?, what about the legacy cruisers who are convincing big numbers of their family members each year to take their first cruise?. These are the real statistics that measure the value of a company; the one's that go beyond the checkbook or bank account. Those that truly value their current and future customer base.
  20. Just learn to find the joy portion of every adventure! Less stress, less pressure, less heartache, less worry and more relaxation away from the constant madness called: Life!
  21. This action by the Cruise Industry would actually make me run and get vaccinated as soon as possible. Call it whatever you like; I call it being safe! By the way I will be the first in line to get Booster number 5 when it becomes available. Doing my part to keep my family and America safe. So far I have not gone blind, have not grown an eye in the middle of my forehead, have not began to walk backwards, have not began to dog bark and have not had any strange food cravings from my vaccines. Lighten up Cruisers, learn to find joy in all things and continue to be safe!
  22. Thanks to NCL for initiating this further relaxing of the pre cruise testing. However, I am not pleased with their latest Marketing strategy. They informed us of the good news that they were further relaxing the policy while at the same time raising cruise prices? This action was a sure sign of greed and not of any consumer interest. You raised your cruise prices when you know that more cruisers are going to now be sailing with you. If I were an avid cruiser on NCL I would wonder how much my loyalty matters?
  23. Great News. Less Stress but Safety First Please! The Virus has not suddenly disappeared to Mars!
