Thank you for this suggestion and all the others- our flight is at 12 and we were going to Uber to Schiphol but after reading this thread I'm thinking that taking the train from Rotterdam would be best to avoid being stuck in traffic.

Sadly you are correct, for years and years that was a little gesture that set Celebrity apart.

My welcome drink was so special you couldn't even see it....invisible glass with invisible "bubbly"...IF they have ever been on Celebrity it certainly wasn't recently.

We have been booking concierge guarantee (often very close to cost of choosing veranda room) and usually get room assignment quickly...have never felt the need to change what was assigned. Best of luck on getting what you want for your sailing.

In addition to all the other wonderful suggestions I would add the Barcelona Maritime Museum to your list. If you are planning to walk down Las Ramblas (towards the water) you will end up there. We really enjoyed the exhibits.

We were delayed a couple of hours disembarking a TA and people with early flights were frantic. For that particular cruise the airfare home was so ridiculously expensive that we had booked a hotel overnight and an early flight the following day....very lucky timing for us.

I make you look like an early adopter; our first cruise was 1996 joined CC 2018!

Years ago we were on RC in an oceanview for a TA and had a horrible loud yipping noise. We called the front desk and were blown off, the next night, same noise, we called again and said it sounds like a small dog and received the "ships make noise" kind of response. The third night the front desk called us around 2am to ask if WE had a dog in our cabin (because they were getting complaints)!! We finally got action when my husband talked to one of the engineer type officers at a meet and greet. Turned out it was some kind of heavy sliding door moving back and forth.

Unless it has changed since our last cruise, Concierge class gets priority tendering...makes it very easy.

We did a Celebrity excursion in Cartagena and the guide did a good job of keeping us safe but when they gave us "free time" in the old city it felt like ALL the vulture vendors descended upon us....would not get off the ship there again.

Us too, we had an early embarkation time but it meant absolutely nothing, we waited in crowded terminal for 2 hours....I wondered, at the time, if it was always so disorganized.

This is very true! We did the BA to Valparaiso on Infinity last year and met a woman on the ship who had her phone sitting on the table inside a restaurant and a vender came to the table, spread out his wares and nicked her phone. While eating outside one evening the waiter told us to put our phones away as someone a nearby just had theirs stolen. Our tour guide in Santiago told us, "take the picture, turn the phone off and put it away". If left on, thieves can grab from your hand while open and chance the security code. I'm not trying to be negative but with some simple precautions I hope you have as great a trip as we did with no incidents.

All the reports I have read about cruising right after the re-start sound like it was amazing but we just weren't ready at that point.

Thank you for this information, that looks like a lot of work. During the pandemic I was blithely deleting all emails from Celebrity without even opening them. I was thinking are they crazy, no one is thinking about cruising now...big mistake.

I know some have worried so want to assure you that I got my points too....my little sticky note tells me I now only need 143 to make it to Elite+.
