  1. Do you approve of the return to normalcy of not requiring vaccination proof and Covid testing before the cruise? If so, why do you disapprove of going back to the safer drill now that Covid is not a major factor?
  2. ' Or maybe the stragglers also cause a delay in the behind the scenes drills as crew members have to search for them.
  3. Yes, DSC, discretionary service charges, though you do hope the "tips by another name" do go to the employees. I actually do like it better than having to have the right bills and filling envelopes.
  4. And let's remember the crew. How many of them are new and inexperienced? Do they have the "muscle memory" to know instinctively what to do in a real muster situation? We do read on these boards of inexperienced stewards and waiters. It would not be surprising if this also applied to other crew members.
  5. That is what I figured, but I just wanted to confirm it. Thanks for doing that.
  6. Or maybe the short term gain clouds their thinking.
  7. Since they only did the e-muster, no one would have known what to do if a muster was really called other than watching a video.
  8. Leonard on the Big Bang Theory is always addressed as Leonard, never Lenny or Len.
  9. Thanks for that information. We both also eat seafood so we are not limited to just vegetarian. Also are not vegans, so again less limitation. I assume we can ask for and look at the vegetarian menu without asking for one of their meals the next day. Yes?
  10. Leonard Man of La Mancha? Leonard Q. 66? Leonard Cervantes? Leonard Tilting at Windmills?
  11. We will also be in Iceland this summer on the Prima. And I guarantee you that my DW will be in the pool as long as it is not closed. We once had a cruise that took 2 extra days to get back to Fort Lauderdale because of a hurricane. One morning during those 2 days she was in the pool despite the waves were as if it was the ocean. She of course was the only one in. And in the afternoon, they drained the pool to close it.
  12. Thanks, just showed this to DW who retired last year after a long career as an elementary art teacher, though she is not as good as me at doing nothing and seems to be finding other art employment opportunities.
  13. You are not alone. I also received an e-mail about making the 10,000 club well after I had posted that many. I don't quite remember by how much, but I am sure it was over 11000.
  14. Whatever, if you really think closing all the bars does not impact revenue
  15. I know the feeling. We once had a river cruise over the Christmas/New Years break chartered out from under us after final payment. I will never even consider that line again! Chartering for more money might be a short term gain, but I wonder how much they lose in bad will and future bookings.
  16. Fine, my first name is On, last name Web, middle initial T.
  17. And you would let me know who you are by saying you are the neighbor of Xx Xxxxxx who is the younger brother of one of former classmates, so I would know who you are?
  18. The problem seems to be that you made a general statement about not needing to inform or get written permission based on your specific situation.
  19. Probably by the shortened form of my first name that I usually use.
  20. We once had a meet and greet on the Epic in which a lot signed up and very few, actually only two tables worth showed up, plus a few NVL officers. The person who set up the meet and greet was actually one of the ones who did NOT show up. It was embarrassing. One table had I think it was 6 who had signed up to do shore excursions together and needed to meet to figure out where to meet for the excursions. There were 4 of us at the other table. The other husband at the table recognized that I was the one who had said his DW was an art teacher. He quizzed her about what to see in Florence. She, of course, was happy to discuss art.
  21. My DW is a swimmer, and always goes first thing in the morning, sometimes waiting as they uncover and check the chlorine. Hopefully, she can swim her laps before it becomes crowded.
  22. Good for you! The principle is more important actually than the $10. They hope most will let it slide because they do not want to waste their time on vacation.
