  1. Maybe you could make the suggestion that they bring back that feature. The most we can see now is that there has been no second post.
  2. Probably true, but I don't know exactly how you would set up such a study.
  3. And that sounds like revenue lost by Carnival.
  4. And has not posted again! Here is the url (not many posts) in case anyone is interested.
  5. I would also agree on the Baltic cruise. Tallinn, Estonia is like being in a medieval village. Stockholm has so much to do. And I agree that the Vasa Museum is fascinating. As for St. Petersburg, though I agree that for the adults it would be a shame to miss, I think the length of time there on tours would make it not as amenable for a young child.
  6. OK, but there should not have to be a workaround necessary. Celebrity seems to have no problem having smokeless casinos. And how many go to the casino just because they can smoke there?
  7. And it is unfortunate that on some ships you have to go through the smoke filled casino to get to other places like the dining room. 😢
  8. So if they refused to pay the fine, they could stay on the ship and get a back to back cruise? Or maybe they could stay forever and have it as their new residence. That reminds me of when we went to an AI in Jamaica in 1997 for our 20th anniversary. There was a tax to leave Jamaica. The woman in front of us in the line at the airport said she could not pay it as she had spent all her money on her vacation there. They did not make her stay!
  9. Slim to none, with none being a big favorite to win out.
  10. ' All ships according to maritime law have a zero tolerance for drugs, but do all ships enforce this? There have been too many anecdotal posts on these boards to believe that the do.
  11. That sounds very odd. As I wrote in post #21, we received a new invoice after our TA got us a one day early flight deviation. We received a $50 credit, $25 for each of us.
  12. My TA told me that the earliest it can be done is 270 days out. Our cruise is in August, and I reminded him we wanted to come into London a day early. A few days later, I received a new invoice from his agency with a credit we were given for coming in a day early.
  13. Thanks. Probably a good idea to share the information with your TA.
  14. A "FEW" hundred shares for OBC?---there is no difference for OBC for 100 shares or more than 100 shares.
  15. So, if I (or anyone else) get a jury notice for federal court, having no real ID would be an excuse to get out of jury duty as one could not enter the building? If the defendant has no real ID, would he or she be allowed to attend their own trial? This all keeps getting more bizarre!
  16. If you use a TA, do they mail you or the TA?
  17. I just bought stamps at my local post office last week. That's a federal building, and no one asked me for any identification.
  18. Once upon a time it was. The price of the stock went up and the dividend doubled. And then there was Covid. 😢
  19. Did you ask them about their jobs, or whether passengers were tipping them well?
  20. Enjoy Iceland. It's a wonderful place. And now that you have your hotel picked out, that is one less thing on your to do list.
  21. True, it does not matter to the user of the offer who made the change, but I just wished to clarify who actually made the change.
  22. NY state does odd things as usual. You can renew online, but the County officials (at least those in my county) want you to go in person to the local DMV. The reason is the county gets no revenue from online transactions, but gets a percentage of the fee when done at the DMV. I'm not sure of the exact percentage, but I remember it as somewhere around 12%.
  23. Is it really AMEX who adds the restrictions, or is it the business making the offer, in this case Holland America? I believe when I received the credit for buying OBC, it was back when the offer was for any of the lines in the Carnival Corporation.
