It used to be that way for me, but now sometimes the congratulations e-mail seems to come very late. And it really does not take that much time or hassle to either call them or do the online chat.

Another thing I would do is check your roll call to see if there are any others who might intend to book private excursions and are looking for others to join them. Private excursions tend to be less expensive, less crowded, and more able to be amended to add or subtract things so as to be more in line with what all of you want to do.

Glad it worked. They always say up to 90 days, but it is always much quicker. The ones that took a week or more for the congratulatory e-mails actually posted to the account much quicker, only a few days.

Have you checked your account online or chatted online with them or called them? I recently got some of those congratulatory e-mails so late that it took me a while to figure out what they were for.

You might consider finding a good travel agent who specializes in cruises. Give him or her all your data on budget, what interests you and the other family members, etc. and ask for suggestions.

Since this exchange, I received an e-mail from Princess extending the Black Friday Sale. So, I guess they realized that they did not give people much time. The interesting thing about the e-mail is it does not say when it ends, only that it will end because "good things do not last forever".

OP here, and I just looked in my recycle bin and foung the card. There is NOT a suggested delivery date on it. That makes it harder to blame the Post Office. I know my DW gets ads with % off coupons from Jo-Ann Fabrics that have suggested delivery dates, and they either come on those dates or sometimes a day or so earlier. Not defending the post office, but Princess is to blame on this one. Blaming the Post Office is scapegoating.

I agree though our British Isles cruise in which we saw the Tattoo was in 2014 out of Dover. I would suggest one that has an overnight as we would not have otherwise made it back to our port for Edinburgh which was Rosyth.

We did a land vacation in Reykjavik. We went on a Northern Lights excursion, and at first it seemed like we would miss out on them. Then there were some, but not the real spectacular ones. The guide said the bad news now is you no longer get to do this free tomorrow night. And then on our bus back to Reykjavik, there were much better Nothern Light sightings. The cruise I mentioned we have booked has an overnight in Reykjavik before disembarking from there. DW said we missed the Blue Lagoon last time in Iceland, so that is what she wants us to see that day.

Our next booked cruise is on the NCL Prima August 6th next year, London (Southampton to Reykjavik). A truly great itinerary 😊, but no topless beaches. 😒

Do you realize how little time there is between 11/28 and 11/30? Do you think about where and when you are going to cruise, or do you make quick decisions on inpulses?

So, Princess has found a new way to add to its list of things it does to pollute the planet. BTW, whatever happened to the case where a judge came down hard on the Carnival Corporation for the polluting of the sea that Princess was guilty of?

What if someone claimed they had a pacemaker and their doctor said to absolutely not have the Medallion, would they still refuse a card and risk a major, major lawsuit?
