  1. I am just reading on the Celebrity Blue Chip Club site that they have extended the earning period (again) another year to December 31, 2023! Maybe this was done a while ago but first I am noticing this. I have not cruised since Covid but going in April next year and was sad that I would lose my current status but reading this I assume my status would also remain with this extension. Hopefully I assume correctly! It's at the top of the page here. Casino Cruises: Luxury Casinos at Sea | Celebrity Cruises
  2. This is all so disheartening for those of us Halagonians who have the WestJet card for the companion pass. I was recently pricing flights Halifax to/from Ft. Lauderdale and seeing the 'best' of the reasonably priced options return flight was first flying to Calgary for a stop over ... come on. Fort Lauderdale to Calgary 4,762 km Calgary to Halifax 5,162 km vs Fort Lauderdale to Halifax 3,462 km Guess it will be good bye WestJet Edit to note that my distances are driving so not flight distance but it still paints the relative picture.
  3. They have finally updated all the package descriptions when you look for a booked sailing. Here is the non alcohol verbiage under each, a piece that was missing earlier this week. The Zero Proof package is actually there now too. 4. Look at this thread, it's a good one to follow as there is always someone with the link as they come along for those that get missed in the emails. Post # 5868.
  5. Not in 14 days from watching it ... 14 days from first of the following month. Stated in the email ... Power Up Points will be awarded to those who qualify by January 14, 2023.
  6. Yes ... this is why I said "I" am working on justifying to myself. It is absolutely a personal decision. I've sailed Celebrity for the past 10 years and they do not have a thalassotherapy pool in their spas. They do have them on their smaller millennium class ships, they are larger 'pool' size free for all adults in a main deck area, therefore a spa pass just for heated chairs was never even a thought for me.
  7. I was definitely thinking it would be nice to go up there in the evenings when perhaps it might be quiet. Currently I am working on justifying to myself if I would make the cost of a week 'pass' worth it. It seems I can't yet purchase it online, it shows up but it doesn't allow me to actually add to cart which I'm guessing perhaps the cruise has to be a bit closer as mine isn't until end of May so 6 months from now.
  8. Thanks ... that was what I was hoping. I am used to Celebrity and have to learn HAL.
  9. Ya i figured that but I am wanting the Quench package for the coffees/water as well as soda ... so if I purchased that package, I would not want to pay out of my mini bar on top of this. I actually debated the Have It All when I booked as I do like a 'drink' here and there but thought maybe I would instead do the 'drinking' based on really wanting to instead of trying to get my money's worth; coffee, soda, water I would definitely get my worth.
  10. What ... seriously! I will assume you mean stocked such that I can be charged for each and not be covered by the Quench package if I should purchase.
  11. Thank you! Are you able to ask for one unopened to take back to your room?
  12. Can you get canned soda/pop on board? I see mention of fountain soda but I find these mixes can be a crap shoot for taste and many times taste flat. I am considering getting the Quench package and would like to know what to expect having never sailed HAL. Thanks all .....
  13. It's a collective amount won on your machine in the timeframe of the tournament (minutes). One hopes to hit many large amounts πŸ™‚ The machines used are just a row of the existing machines sectioned off (reconfigured a bit for this use) usually 15 machines or so in total and, like others have said, you just keep hitting your spin button to get as many spins (and hopefully wins) in as you can in the timeframe. All machines are configured to be playing the same slot game.
  14. Love reading your posts Jamie. One day I hope to sail out of NY!
  15. You are missing part of the verbiage ... Sapphire level guests, the greater of $500 or 10% of the previous sailing’s gaming activity. Either way the question seems to be a good one. With regard to the 10% calculation, my understanding it is not a direct calculation of played/cycled money but instead based on the tier points you earn from the prior sailing which is something that would require asking (casino host on board or calling Blue Chip Club?) to find out. Hopefully someone can speak to the exact nature of this calculation, but this seems to be an often-confusing topic for many ... here's another conversation here from last December that lends some insight others had to offer. 16. I was wondering the same. I know they don't allow gambling in Hawaii waters but I expected they would anchor further out in the evenings so it could open some evenings. Surprised to hear of a total shutdown like this, interesting.
  17. I've tried this one a few times and found it good. Mast Bar/Pool Bar - Blue Note Punch (Blueberi vodka, Red Bull Blueberry, Pineapple, Lime Juice) Have NOT (yet) tried this one but it looks good and have it flagged to try in the future. If anyone's tried it feel free to comment... Sunset Bar - Key West Daiquiri (Rum, Grapefruit Juice, Lime Juice, Syrup, Maraschino)
  18. Oh if you are still on the ship ... feel free to share a pic of the menu! Which bar? PS Hope it was good πŸ™‚
  19. That was my immediate thought too LOL! πŸΉπŸ§‰πŸ»πŸ€ͺ😁
  20. Can get from prescription in Canada too. A friend got one to try on her next cruise. Tranderm patch is what she got.
  21. Respectfully no it's not. One difference speaking from my experience is Gravol makes me more drowsy. Jim is correct in saying we cannot get in Canada branded or in generic form from a pharmacy anymore, this stopped many years back. I therefore stock up whenever I can when I travel to the US.
  22. Interestingly, the ships that are listed are all cruise lines external to the Royal Caribbean Group umbrella, Celebrity is not listed as a choice for which you have an offer. I've had offers from Celebrity as it has been my cruise of choice for a while but have never sailed on a Royal Caribbean ship and wondered the same thing the OP is asking here. They do loyalty club matching so this would seem to be of a similar nature. This match page not listing Celebrity as a choice I guess speaks to the true objective of the matching; to switch cruisers from other cruise lines (groups) to spending money within their entity, me sailing Celebrity already makes them money. Might be similar situation HAL to Carnival cruise line though they should also look at is as keeping you sailing with 'them' and likely hit and miss what they might pursue. I would love to try Princess or HAL myself if I had a Celebrity offer that they would match.
