  1. We were on the Royal 4 weeks ago and they didn’t have the new menus at that time. The menus were the same ones we’ve had since the restart in 2021. They have the nightly fettuccine Alfredo and the French onion soup (my favorite with extra cheese). I think the new menus have a nightly lasagna instead of the fettuccine.
  2. On the 10 day trip to Mexico in February our shows were Encore, The Secret Silk and Sweet Soul Music.
  3. The winds are crazy in CA today. Love the sun but not the fierce wind.
  4. Thank you for this information. We are doing a B2B in November and status will be Platinum on first leg and Elite on second leg. While I don’t care about the color of my medallion I was hoping I’d get the perks of laundry and mini-bar set up.
  5. Have a great cruise and thanks for taking us along! I look forward to seeing and hearing about the adventures of the Stanley Bears!
  6. Wishing you a wonderful cruise! We did this same itinerary on the Royal from 1/31 to 2/10. It was a great trip and I hope you have a great trip too!!! Looking forward to reading your reports.
  7. If it were me I’d be looking at jewelry (specifically Brighton) or getting a few pieces of clothing in the gift shop.
  8. We were on the Royal earlier this month and I loved the extra dish in CC each night. The pasta and shrimp was so good! Who are your servers in CC? We connected with Samuel and Maria on embarkation day and requested their section for the 10 days we were on the ship. They were delightful and we really enjoyed getting to know them.
  9. @cr8tiv1I’m not familiar with Jams or Reyn’s. Do they have stores on Kauai? Next trip over is in May and I’ll check them out. I usually refuse the shell necklace at HH as I know it will just end up in the garbage can at the end of the trip.
  10. Lucky you! These are my 2 favorite stores when visiting Hawaii. Also love Blue Ginger for clothing.
  11. On the bottom of the order tag it states the cleaning process “uses a non-toxic sustainable wet solvent” so it’s not dry cleaning.
  12. Looking forward to hearing back from you on purchasing Plus onboard. I like the idea of using OBC to pay for it and not having to pay the extra insurance on it if purchased pre-cruise. I do like the Plus package and not having a large bill at the end. Just finished a 10 day cruise and our final bill was $0.
  13. It’s not in Hilo. On the Big Island it’s in Kona. On Maui it’s in Lahaina and Kaanapali. On Kauai it’s in Lihue. On Oahu it’s in the Ala Moana shopping center in Honolulu.
  14. @arctickittyIf you do decide to take a ferry to Lanai be sure and visit the Lanai Cat Sanctuary. It’s an amazing place and you’ll love hanging out with 700 cats. lanaicatsanctuary.org
  15. When is you cruise? Are you inside 90 days of sailing?
  16. I don’t think you can request this. Best to do your own laundry. If I need to do laundry on a cruise I do it myself as they wash and dry things with very hot water and very high heat. I don’t want all our clothes to shrink so I find it best if I do it myself.
  17. This is the reason we like Club Class….we don’t want to make a reservation and feel the pressure of having to be somewhere at a certain time. We enjoy going to the dining room when we feel like eating and not because we have to make a reservation time. To be honest I used to think that Club Class was a waste of money and we would do a set reservation time each night. But now that we’ve had it a couple times we do like it because we have flexibility in when we go to the dining room. We also like the service we receive. Our cruise earlier this month we wanted to be done in 1 hour to make a show. Our waiter made it happen without making the dinner feel rushed. It also seems like the waiters in CC have fewer tables to wait on compared to the regular MDR so service is a bit more relaxed and personal.
  18. Also if you are in a full suite or have Elite status then your laundry is complimentary.
  19. Princess doesn’t do laundry by the bag. It’s priced per piece and depends on what the item is. Here is the price list from our cruise on the Royal earlier this month.
  20. We’ve got a B2B in November 2023 and I just checked our cruise. The cost for Club Class dining is $73 per person on the 7 day cruise and $63 per person on the 4 day cruise. Since we are sailing over Thanksgiving we like the flexibility that Club Class offers and not having to wait in line for the MDR. We expect the ship will be full. However if it was $110 per person for Club Class we might not be willing to shell out that much for this benefit.
  21. Because you make an effort to look nice you expect others to do the same? That seems very subjective to me. I’m sorry to hear that the way others dress has such a negative impact for you on your cruise. Perhaps you should try balcony dining so you won’t be impacted by what others are wearing. I’d also say you might want to look for another cruise line besides Princess. I think it’s unrealistic that people are going to change their manner of dress because you don’t like it.
  22. In our experience we’ve been able to use our OBC to book shore excursions before the cruise. Our credit card was never charged unless we used up all of our OBC. We normally sail with OBC from military, shareholder, future cruise deposit and Princess OBC promotion when booked.
  23. Oh dear! We stayed there last time and I was planning on booking there for our November cruise. May have to move to the Crowne Plaza instead. Makes you wonder what else has been left in the room that you may not see. As well as how clean the room really is.
  24. She’s our favorite as well. We love the Hollywood Pool/Conservatory area which is unique to the Majestic. I wish more royal class ships had this covered area. It’s such a relaxing place to hang out on the ship. I don’t care for the outdoor pool as the MUTS is too loud (I’m not that old) and not relaxing. I am disappointed to hear that the Hollywood Pool is no longer adults only as this was another benefit for us of this area.
