  1. That is what the link I posted last night talked about too but he doesn't think it is. Here is the link again. https://laidbackgardener.blog/2018/05/02/the-worlds-weirdest-tomato/
  2. Did you do a google image search? Did you bring it to the place where you bought them and ask them? That is what I would do. It could be this though. https://laidbackgardener.blog/2018/05/02/the-worlds-weirdest-tomato/
  3. Not really our concern. It could be the person lives on the west coast and it is cheaper to fly to Seattle than it is to fly to somewhere in Florida. People do what works for them. We are doing another NE/Canada cruise because the port is 15 miles away from home, so no need for flights or hotel. We can drive to most of the ports but we want to cruise, so we are going again. We all just have to do what works best for ourselves. 🙂
  4. Do some research in the Florida departure forums. The list posted above is a good one. None of those use large shuttles. Cortans was really good when we used them pre-covid. We have not sailed from the port post covid, only been there as a port of call a few times and used Uber. Not impressed at all with the Uber cars that we got but we were only going a few miles. I wonder which services @RyderJ201 has actually used in that port.
  5. Is the voom price high for a 1 person, 2 device plan too?
  6. There are small vans that have scheduled times to pick up people. I would not use a shuttle that is a huge bus. I would not use the cruise line's transfer either as it waits to fill and would not be early enough. I would not use Travelynx either as their people at the port are terrible. There are a few others with very good reputations.
  7. Absolutely! The cruises are their bread and butter.
  8. The whole point of Alaska cruises for YOU is the itinerary. Some people cruise for the ship too.
  9. MCO is about 45 minutes from the port if there is no traffic. Uber or taxi will be at least $100. Check out the Florida departures forum for suggestions on car services. There are a bunch of them, some better than others.
  10. We were on Oasis in May and there wasn't a cover band on our sailing but the "house band" played in the Music Hall. They weren't too bad but we like the cover bands that we are used to seeing on Anthem. Supposedly, cover bands have been eliminated, which is unfortunate.
  11. Not on our upcoming sailing. Key is $24.99, Voom is $16.99.
  12. My DH didn't think they were cute when I made him go up in the attic to see if he saw any signs of life up there and closed the pulldown stairs so nothing came into the house 😲😱😇
  13. Raccoons aren't good to have around though, they do lots of damage. We had one climb a downspout and shimmy along the fascia board, leaving muddy footprints along the way. He then must have gone along the ridge vent and ripped a hole in our roof and chewed through the roof sheathing. It never made it into the attic but it cost me more than $500 to repair the damage it did. I luckily saw shingles on out deck and went searching to see where they came from. We weren't sure if it was squirrels or raccoons until my roofer pointed out all the footprints along the fascia.
  14. It does but at least I can taste somethings now. The lack of smell is what is tough because I can't smell things and then all of a sudden I can't breathe well. I keep an inhaler with me at all times now and have to use it more than I ever have had to in the past. @taznremmy seems to be much worse that me with no taste at all. Glad to read Charlie has improved. Hope they can get his meds balanced right so you don't have anymore trips to the hospital. 🙂
  15. I have been meaning to ask you if you tried doing the smell training or not. If you did, it doesn't seem to have helped you. 😞 I am still doing it but still have limited taste and even more limited smell.
  16. We don't know when it was booked, so that makes a huge difference in pricing. Allure is also an older, unamped Oasis class ship and that sailing is at the height of hurricane season, all things that factor into pricing.
  17. Quantum class has Royal Suite class that for Sky Class would include free wifi, Coastal Kitchen and access to the Suite lounge. The SL on Quantum class does not have the 11-11 free beer/wine/water that Oasis class has but it does have free cocktails during happy hour and also the coffee machine that some people love. CK access for Sky Class includes breakfast, lunch and dinner, with reservations recommended for dinner. No reservations needed for breakfast or lunch.
  18. Definitely agree. With a table for 8, I would absolutely go to the MDR and confirm that there is a table for 8 assigned. I would also go check out the location.
  19. There is lots of information on the Royal Caribbean website including the map of the island which will help you choose. https://www.royalcaribbean.com/cococay-cruises Map https://www.royalcaribbean.com/content/dam/royal/resources/pdf/perfect-day-at-cococay-wayfinding-map.pdf There are at least five different beaches and lots of free food available on the island. The Oasis Lagoon pool is free to all to use and is huge. One end is zero entry so you can walk right into it if anyone has mobility issues. There is a free waterpark area for the kids too, so no need to pay for the thrill park.
  20. Please post your experience after you sail as we are looking into this for October also. We recently did a similar thing in Seattle, just took a commuter ferry roundtrip for cheap money instead of an expensive harbor cruise and really enjoyed it. If the weather is right, we definitely want to do the mail run.
