  1. You are fine bringing on factory sealed snacks and treats. Even the Fanny Farmer mints should be fine even if you have opened the box. Perishable foods are not allowed to be brought on per the prohibited list. https://www.royalcaribbean.com/faq/questions/prohibited-items-onboard-policy
  2. It isn't kinda standard, Oasis is scheduled to dock at 6am (actually docked at 5:30) and self disembark is scheduled to start at 6:30. Telling the OP the line starts at 6:30 and they should be okay if there in it by 7 and the line starts moving at 7:10 - 7:15 is way off. As per the departure information posted above, Self Disembark starts at 6:30am. People were already in line before 6am. Suite/Pinnacles and the Key were all scheduled to start at 6:45 but I saw the concierge loading the first group into the elevator just after 6:30 when we were going to Coastal Kitchen for breakfast. First tag numbers were set for 6:45. Different ports and even different ships at the same port have their own schedules. As some posted, Liberty comes into Bayonne at 7am, thus their departure schedule is not the same as Oasis. Even the schedule I posted from our very recent sailing on Oasis could be different by the time the OP sails next month. We sailed Oasis last October and the times were all 15 minutes later but still before 7am for self disembark.
  3. Yes, I remember Explorer sailing from there, I don't think either of those ships have sailed from Bayonne recently though. We have sailed Oasis twice from Bayonne, most recently a few weeks ago. With a 6am scheduled arrival time, the OP should be able to get to an exam in the Bronx as long as it isn't scheduled extremely early. If the ship is delayed, all bets are off.
  4. Independence and Explorer were sailing from Bayonne?
  5. We don't get in the self disembark line, we wait for it to clear and then head out. As long as I am over the GW by 8am, I am happy. 🙂 We can be home before noon if the traffic cooperates.
  6. They are on Oasis which is scheduled to dock at 6am. We were actually docked by 5:30am. Liberty is scheduled to dock at 7am. Bayonne definitely has a lot of people that self disembark!
  7. Not sure what ship you’re referring to as those times are not what we have experienced in Bayonne at all. The OP is not going to be flying from Bayonne to the Bronx either.
  8. We were just on Oasis a few weeks ago and self assist started at 6:30. Here is the departure information.
  9. I would still check out cafe at Two70 as she might see something. There is also a dessert section and specialty coffee area there. Cafe promenade on Anthem isn’t as good as other ships. They seem to have less options there. The Sorrentos that is right next to it is the best one we have experienced.
  10. I don’t remember cheddar cheese and the only sandwich they make is the kummelwick. Everything else is premade and some like panini they heat. There is also a soup there each day. Sounds like the windjammer would be a better choice for her as there are many more options.
  11. There is no Park Cafe on Anthem. Everything you listed is at the Cafe at Two70.
  12. We had a fruit plate left in the cabin day one and never got anything else. This was Oasis a few weeks ago.
  13. The top tier invite will be addressed to you but she should be allowed to attend with you. Some ships will collect the invites at the entrance to the venue and others just put up a private event sign, but don't check the invites of those walking into the venue. The top tier on Oasis a few weeks ago was held in the aqua theatre and there was plenty of empty seats. On Anthem, it is typically in Two70. The main level is usually pretty full but the upper balcony is almost empty. She should be okay walking in with you. Your benefits don't extend to your roommate but you can use one of your vouchers to get her a drink at a bar. She would likely be questioned by the diamond concierge if you were to bring her into the diamond lounge.
  14. There is no minimum age for a drink package and you do not have to buy it for all your kids. I wouldn't get one for a 3 or 5 year old. I would buy a frozen drink and split it between the two little ones. The frozen non alcoholic drinks are around $7 so I would consider if it even makes sense to buy for the older kids. It depends on their ages, if we are talking teens, I would because they will be out and about. I always told my son to just abandon his drink if he had left it unattended while playing basketball or something and get a new one, just to be safe. Having the refreshment package made sense for him.
  15. I have no idea if they do background checks on everyone they heir, they definitely do on anyone who is with children in Adventure Ocean. As far as corrupt government trying to get someone out of the country, that is a far reach. Why was a "little girl" out and about on her own with the parents back in the cabin? This is definitely a teaching moment as children are always taught to go to somewhere with lots of people or a neighbors house if they have an issue with someone, never go home or to your cabin alone. Go to guest services, a bar, restaurant or security. Go up to an officer in a white shirt or even a group of people and ask for help. Once you actually go on a cruise, you will see that it is very rare to see any crew in the cabin corridors other than cabin stewards as other crew is not allowed. Crew have certain areas they are allowed to go into and others they can't without permission. Different departments wear different uniforms so it would be very obvious if this person was coming to do maintenance on a cabin. Cruise ships are not the lawless places you think they are but common sense should always be used. Ships take any incident very seriously and will put people off in the next port or lock them down in their cabin until the ship returns to its homeport. We had a fight in the solarium on our last cruise and two went off the ship in cuffs in Bayonne. They had been held in separate cabins until we got back as it happened towards the end of the cruise. Two guards were outside one of the cabins they were in as it was women and one guard was not allowed to be with them alone. Not sure were the other person was held but this was deck 14. Multiple videos are floating around of the fight.
  16. This story is vey hard to believe. There are cameras everywhere. What did security say when the family reported the crew member? Did they pull the video showing her being followed? What happened when they followed up with corporate?
  17. The coconut ranger cookies are available on all the ships and mostly everyday. There can be days that they rotate a different cookie into the mix.
  18. Correct, one bottle per person, 21 years and over. Definitely a plus for a larger group of adults sharing a cabin.
  19. The dining room didn't even show as a venue for our recent Oasis sailing until about a week before our sailing. The menus then became available to see under the main and late seating but never for MTD. They should appear soon. There were a couple of other venues that didn't show until very late too.
  20. I never thought she was delusional. Carnival has a different policy and sometimes people get the policies confused. The port workers also get the policies confused frequently as some terminals are used by multiple cruise lines.
  21. The Royal Caribbean app has a text function too that works a lot better than it has in the past. The OP just needs to make sure they have their phone settings set correctly.
  22. Then you will fit right in on this thread, lots of made up stories by those who can't understand that others can have different experiences. 🙂
  23. Carnival doesn't allow bottles, are you confusing cruise lines maybe?
  24. There is no rule against plastic bottles. What port confiscated your bottles?
