  1. Full suites on Oasis class ships used to be able to bypass the lines (reservation and non-reservation) and go up the middle. You would tell whoever approached you that you were in a suite and were usually directed to the podium behind the one that serves the line and were seated immediately. We have only been eating in Coastal Kitchen when in a full suite for the last few years, so not sure if they still do this or not.
  2. The representatives at the deal with people everyday and have enough common sense to listen to the parent and not a toddler. The paperwork has been corrected. The family is going to be fine, whether the child decides to call herself Kathy, Katherine or Elmo.
  3. The representatives at the port are not going to question a toddler.
  4. The FAQ does not say two max, it says 1 bottle of wine per guest of drinking age. https://www.royalcaribbean.com/faq/questions/food-drink-onboard-policy
  5. If it is how our sailing was last month, it will be available to book once you board.
  6. We sailed last month on Oasis. The adult comedy reservations showed up for a few days when all the other shows were able to be booked and then they disappeared. People who didn't book them those first few days were able to book once they boarded. I had booked when they were first available but then it didn't show in my planner but did show under my reservations.
  7. Have you looked into Logan Express at all? I know there is a Braintree location that is near South Shore Plaza. Tickets online are discounted and parking is less than $10 per day. It runs pretty frequently and drops off at the terminals last I used it. I have gone from Braintree but have used it from another location and it was easy. https://www.massport.com/logan-airport/to-from-logan/transportation-options/logan-express/braintree/ We live about 15 miles from Logan, so about an hour drive also. 😄 We are about 45 minutes from Manchester Airport in NH but prefer Logan.
  8. Depending on your son's age, maybe a painted rock that he could place somewhere. If he is older, maybe just an excursion, like jetskis, that you do together and remember his dad while you are out on the water and say a prayer. Even a special dinner on the ship at Chops or somewhere and just talk and remember.
  9. There aren't balloons available to purchase on Oasis. Is the actual birthday a port day? Could you possibly do something while off the ship? I am sorry for your loss.
  10. It is in the base of the cup and smashing the cup would likely not damage it. Let me see if I can find the cup from our May Oasis sailing as you can actually see the chip in the new, smaller cup.
  11. The cups have the RFID chip imbedded in them. They haven't been doing the stickers for over a year now.
  12. Usually they put you at the front of the line though, which saves time. Anthem handles ports of call better. You meet in Wonderland which is beside where you exit the ship and you leave before everyone.
  13. I was thinking that too. I would be horrified! The chef is great though and walks away from the drama. Below Deck Down Under is going to have crew drama too based on the long preview I have seen. Aesha is back as chief stew. Captain Jason is back too.
  14. We have never had a concierge visit our suite. We have received information from them about escorting people off at port of calls and end of cruise. There should be a welcome letter explaining everything and giving you their hours.
  15. If you read the original post, the OP asks how medical is billed and will a bill come in the mail. We are all explaining how we have been charged in the past. The OP was not on the ship to ask any billing questions, the child cruised with her grandparents.
  16. That has been my experience for my multiple visits to medical onboard different ships with the exception of when I got covid on Quantum. I did not receive any paperwork as promised and called multiple times. I finally reached out to the suite concierge and he was able to have the paperwork delivered to me within an hour. He also coordinated my "extraction" from the ship and transportation to my quarantine hotel. I have never had to have a concierge intervene in the past and I was very thankful for all the help we received from KK. He even asked us to update him after we got off the ship.
  17. Carnival is not going to help with a Royal Caribbean cruise.
  18. Since you didn't receive the information while on the ship, you will have to call the after cruise number at Royal Caribbean for someone to contact the ship and get the information. I am not sure of the UK number though. I would check you paperwork for a UK number. I have been to medical multiple times in the past on Anthem and have been able to get my paperwork from the medical facility.
  19. She didn't get charged for her xray and visit because it would have been on her account whether she had insurance through Royal Caribbean or another travel insurance provider. It is typical for them not to charge for medical if you are injured on the ship. If you did have to pay, it would be on her account and would have to be paid before she left the ship. You would then have to file with your medical insurance company and if they didn't pay it, you then would file with your travel insurance company. No insurance is accepted in the medical facility whether it is your primary insurance at home, Royal's travel insurance or any other insurance provider.
  20. We were on deck 8 and they weren't closing the firedoors at that time, so the noise was loud until around midnight. Not a big deal unless you have an early port day the next day. The person who did the video of 7594 didn't complain about noise.
  21. The issue with 7594 is the noise from the entertainment in the Centrum. The video that is available for this cabin has a decent balcony, about half as deep as this one.
