Unless things have changed since 2016, I brought my DD & her friend both 16 and booked them in a cabin across and a few down from mine. No issues at all.

To the OP, you’ll never know if you don’t branch out and give it a try. I’m not loyal to any line but sail mostly with Princess & Carnival. Sailed on the Panorama in October and had so much fun and I like Carnival but I just kept missing Princess. It feels like “home” to me. I think the entertainment on Princess is the absolute best of the lines I’ve sailed on so far. There is always something fun going on. Enjoy your next cruise!

Definitely give it a try! If I remember correctly, I got the pulled pork, brisket, Mac & cheese & potato salad. The brisket was kinda dry and the Mac & cheese was just average, I thought it would be really good. Potato salad was just average. Nothing bad about it but that was the only time I went. I can’t comment on the pay items because I didn’t try those.

Food is very subjective. I was on Panorama a couple of months ago and I thought the food was very, very good everywhere on the ship. I didn’t care for the included outside Pig & Anchor BBQ though. I thought the production type shows were excellent, they were Soul Bound, Rock Revolution and Celestial Strings. The Panorama Rock band was very good too. Very high energy and got everyone up and dancing in Ocean Plaza.

I always use cash for my onboard account. On embarkation day, I go to guest services and tell them I want to use cash instead of the card. They have a paper that I sign. I’ve had no problems at all doing this.

I wish but haven’t seen any, in general cruise prices are just really high right now. I’ll ever forget the killer deal I got a year ago November, 7nt on Discovery to Mexico in a Sky deck balcony with Plus, all in $1080.00 total! Now that price is near 3k.

Yep, that’s me exactly! I would much rather wait in the terminal knowing I’m there already than be waiting at home.

You have to gamble on the ship…………a lot.

That was exactly my issue. Significant price drop on my September cruise, was told no, for new bookings only. I tried to explain to them I could just cancel and rebook so why not just refare? I ended up telling them to cancel and I immediately went online and booked it again with my original cabin. Such a waste of time. Keep in mind you can lose OBC or other perks if you do this so be sure it’s worth it first.

I always book on the Princess website. When my brother sails with me, he loves the aft premium balconies. I’ve been looking at a couple of different cruises and cannot get those cabins availability unless I put in 3 guests. Ugh!

Not to mention you can hardly hear them because of all the household loud conversations going on or kids running around screaming. Unbelievable and so frustrating.

Exactly! The best thing to do is just cancel and rebook. Those call center people have no clue.

I think that is when we will see more and more AI take over many jobs.

This has been discussed before. I’ve had the same issue. For some odd reason the balconies don’t show up when you put in 2 guests. I just checked with 3 guest's and all the balconies showed up.

I believe it’s $100 per person for the first two people. I’m sailing solo. When I first tried booking early yesterday, the deposit was showing $400 but I knew that was incorrect. I waited several hours and it then showed the $100.

Meanwhile, here’s a pic of a slice of the Funfetti cheesecake on the Panorama a couple of months ago. I can’t believe I’ve never had this before. It was very good.

Yay, they fixed the deposit glitch and I’m booked on the 60th Anniversary cruise!!! This will be a special one for me because my dad went on the 50th Anniversary cruise on Pacific Princess. I wish we could have done this one together. I grew up watching the Love Boat so this is just awesome for me.

I sailed solo on the Panorama last October. The 2 top tables were probably 6 inches apart. I took note of some of the more private tables along one of walls and asked the hostess when I checked in if I could have one of those because I was dining alone. They accommodated me every night thereafter.

They don’t need permission to do that. It’s stated on your folio.

I know Carnival donates the nominal amount to St. Jude instead of cutting a check. Maybe Princess does something similar.

Cruise prices are very high right now because the cruise industry is booming. Simple supply & demand. If/when bookings drop down, so will prices.

That is why I never order margaritas on the ship, that neon sweet & sour mix and no fresh limes are a hard no for me. I also don’t order cosmos because it’s not real cranberry juice. Straight up dirty martinis it is.
