  1. Trivia is shown on a screen as well as read. Probably will be offered in Princess Live and/or The Vista Lounge. There is no "Irish Bar" There is O'Malley's Irish Pub. This is one on the casual dining locations included with the plus and premier fares, otherwise it's $14.99 +18%. At time there will be music in the Piazza. That could be anything from piano background, live bands, jazz, Dixieland,. It all depends what musicians are on board.
  2. Identical in design. The Emerald offers Planks & Steamers pop up casual dining. This was not offered on the Ruby this past winter. Both have Skywalkers, same design.
  3. On your itinerary it will mention "water shuttle" if it is a tender port. I believe all the ports you mention are docked.
  4. While Princess does have rules in place that allow this, they should call you in advance and offer you some selections or at least some monetary compensation.
  5. Wine. 1 x 750ml per adult, no charge for use in the cabin. If brought to a public area these bottles are subject to the $20/bottle corkage fee. Additional bottles , no specific limits, can be carried on board. These bottles are subject to the $20/bottle corkage fee when boarding, are marked, and can be used in public areas such as the DR. Sodas, juices, other. 12 cans or cartons per person, 12 ozs or less. No bottles. No plastics. Review para 5 in the contract: https://www.princess.com/en-us/legal/passage-contract/plc
  6. Just to add to the frustration. I have 4 cruises booked (b2b2b2b) starting mid January. All have different booking numbers. None were offered as combined sailings. For cruises 2, 3, & 4 I was able to reserve an MDR dining time. The program will not allow me to select a dining time for the first cruise. It gives me some sort of error message indicating that the cruise is not available, I can't remember the exact wording. I gave up. I'll deal with it on board, go to anytime or the buffet. Princess programing is terrible. Princess needs to pay more attention. I think one of the problems is that those in charge can't really define what they want the programmers to do. Everything seems to be sliding down hill since the current President took over.
  7. A few times I spent some pre-cruise time in Orlando. I rented a one way car and drove the roughly 3 1/2 hours from Orlando to FLL airport dropped the car, and then took a taxi from the airport to the pier. Why are you choosing Sanford Airport? The Ft. Lauderdale Airport is less than a half hour from the pier. Even Miami Airport is closer, about 45 minutes.
  8. Another thought. Have you tried the web internet version?
  9. My only suggestion is to contact Princess and ask for a PVP. I really don't know if it will work or not, but I guess it is worth a try. By the way your two cruises are normally referred to as side by side. Back to back normally refers to being on board the same ship.
  10. The Sanctuary Collection is offered on the new Sun & Star Princess. Is Sanctuary Collection only on Sun and Star Princess or fleetwide? Sanctuary Collection staterooms are only available on Sun and Star Princess.
  11. The Coral has more passenger public space then the Island. The Coral has the Universe Lounge, 360 degree promenade, small International Cafe, and has a small Sanctuary Pool. The two ships were identical when built, but the Island had major renovations which removed the Universe Lounge as well as other areas aft to add cabins.
  12. Princess does not offer a per bag laundry service. If you send your laundry out it's priced by the piece. There are also self service laundries on each deck. Here is a recent thread which covers laundry:
  13. I guess you are speaking about the Island Princess sailing December 22, 2024 from Ft. Lauderdale. While the Island Princess probably will not have as many children as one of the other larger classes of ships, I would still expect to see more than I would like to see. The Island is smaller and does not have as many locations for youth to hang out. There is only the two pools, one inside, one outside on the Lido deck.
  14. Port and starboard deck 10 balconies are 9ft x 9ft with 5ft of cover. There are 2 chairs and a table.
  15. Same cost on board or pre-cruise. The risk of price increases are always present.
  16. Drop the check mailing directly inside the post office. Do not place into the blue outside mail boxes.
  17. Botticelli DR, deck 6 aft is designated for those that wish to make reservations. Reservation times are available every 20 minutes. You make them on your app. If you do not have an app I guess you can call. I would think that most passengers that want these reservations plan for it pre-cruise and have them set up prior to boarding. But, I have no information regarding day of availability. Michelangelo DR, deck 5 mid ship is for fixed early & late seating, same table & tablemates, same waiters. You select this in advance of boarding. Da Vinci DR deck 6, mid ship. Roughly half of this DR is used for reserve class dining. The remainder is used for walk in dining, no reservations.
  18. No. The medallion is inside a credit card size plastic holder and comes with a lanyard. You can detach from the lanyard and keep the plastic holder in you pocket. You can also remove the medallion from the holder.
  19. You can pick up the medallion at the pier, you don't have to order it sent you. Once on board you can ask for a cruise card at passenger services. I'm certain they will provide one to you if they have them. Don't be frightened of the medallion. It's just an RFD in a small coin shaped package.
  20. Shown on the Princess site that I found. Maybe when you search in Australia you are led to a different site specific for Australia. https://www.princess.com/en-us/cruise-deals-promotions/plus-premier-cruise-packages
  21. It's shown on the list of benefits in the U.S. But, isn't the crew appreciation in the Australia Market included as part of the basic fare?
  22. I have experienced 3 days, never 4 to 5.
  23. You can do your own. Self service laundries on each deck. $3 wash, $3dry. You can also purchase detergent & dryer sheets or bring your own. Regarding sending it out. I send my laundry out all the time. It's an elite loyalty benefit. I never had damage. I will mention it's expensive. Cost is according to the item. A bag full of regular items might be $40/$50.
  24. Once you board. I have read that in Ft. Lauderdale there is a special lounge for suite guests on SE 17th St very close to the port entrance. I don't know if Princess still operates this lounge. At most ports once through security boarding is fairly quick and there is little waiting around in the terminal.
