We got Kn95 today in Whittier. Were you HPD? We've been wearing our masks the past week and actually feel better that it will be manditory inside. There was ALOT of luggage on da Covid bus this am. No thx. Getting better tan than I do at home. This cruise is awesome, never seen wx this good. I don't want to be confined to my room. -
Take care and may your trip home be uneventful, and we will be watching how you are doing. Now mask back on the ship. Aloha

This morning here in Whittier, I saw a sprinter type van pick up 3-4 people and there luggage dockside. Next came the tour bus. All boarding immediately at the end of gangway. Didn’t see the folks board bus, but there was a lot of luggage on it. Masks are back mandatory. Was this the Covid transfer bus? We are in last side room on Aloha deck port side and we started seeing more and more folks out in Caribe( Covid deck) balconies. We mask and hope all of you affected have mild symptoms. Aloha!!

On the Royal now, and it seems it’s encouraged to order 2 beers at a time. Icy Bay IPA is a nice addition -

Doing the turn around day here in Whittier. Wife and I have been wearing our masks the first week. I’d like to thank the people who when entering an elevator we were just n for putting on their mask. Outside no need, but too close can be trouble. As the week went, we saw more and more heads popping out from the Covid quarantine deck. -

We had dinner at Sabatinis and waiter told me next time when ordering the seafood linguini to ask for: Extra seafood, hold the linguini. I’m a protein person but will cave in to carbs for my wife or beer. Great pics, mine have been postcard material. 4th time for us doing an Alaska cruise and I’m going to return home to Hawaii tanner then when I left. Hopefully at the end of the southbound leg I’ll have unused ponchos for sale -

Also on this cruise and today had presentation for the 300 or so continuing back to Vancouver. No mid testing! Both the Crown and Sabatinis open. Glad I brought sunscreen, weather has been unbelievable. Youtube and Netflix seem to work Ok. Skagway alittle weak. Have been able to talk to Grandkids using wifi calling. Ranger announcements worked good in room on ship camera channel Medallion net is a bundle of joy. Will be great once bugs worked out. We find we just log out and then back on to get it to work. Nice having door unlock while approaching Sometimes things work, so times they don't. Oh well Masks are hit or miss. Have heard only 1 cough this whole time. We didn't get the Princess email, so my TA will hear about our wait in terminal. Pan Pacific hotel is the way to go, if it's in budget. Have to arrange own Covid testing for flights home, if needed. No signing off the ship in Victoria even though you are Canadian resident. Must go to Vancouver Time for a beer. -
All depends on your travel plans.US citizens flying home need a neg test. Let Princess set-up and pay for your quarantine. Sitting in the Pan Pacific, took walk and ship is in!

Excellent info. T Mahalo for all you help with. -
IT department strikes again. Most likely Princess can't even contact their own department.

VAncouver post cruise transport to YVR

We have our ship the Royal and HAL Konnisdam arriving on same date. Our flight back to LA isn't till 5pm. We've decided we'll wait and get off near the end of disembarking. I assume cabs will continue in and out for awhile if for nothing else, the new pax coming onboard. Was going to book private transport, but it's $139 compared to 2 $35-40 cab rides. -
My friends used to ask so that they could take a later flight😀

New Update - Medallion Class App 5/20/22

I guess I'm lucky. I've been able to book dining all the way through our 2024 cruises. Some days you get the circle of doom, other days it works great. Cruise next Saturday, still green and clean. -
Talofa Lave We are doing this cruise in March 2023 for the sole reason to go to Pago Pago. My wife and I met after a fun night in Pago on a layover. We spent alot of time in Pago ( 1985-90 ) but it's been along time. The west tour will take you out of town along the coastal route till the airport where you'll go inland and pass the golf course on your way to a Ava ceremony. Ava is a root that is ground up, strained and served. It has a alcohol type effect, and tastes like dirty dishwater, but still have to try it. The east tour takes you out of town, pass the tuna cannery (I didn't eat tuna for along time after smelling the plant). You'll continue out pass beaches and bays and finally it says you go to $2 (it's more than that now) beach for a frosty Villima beer. As my buddy says, the brew masters in Germany were glad to get rid of the guy who went to Samoa to brew beer. I'd chose the east route excursion, but that's me.The east is more beaches and the west is more cultural. We will probably hire someone to drive us we want to see all our spots on both the East and West sides of the Island. After that night we've been together 41yrs, and don't think we'll be reacting any Blue Lagoon scenes like we did many years ago.

Steak Tartar,( wifes favorite) that's the only night we go to the lounge.

Still selling Sabatini's for our sailing on the 28th. I'd like to think Princess is "hoping" to get it open but rather think they'd rather just hold your money.
-
Mahalo and you can still book dinners there. And I thought my previous employer had a screwed up IT department.
-
As long as the ship still stops in Pago, we're going!!
-
That makes sense. Any idea when these sailings will be released by Princess for preview? Heading to your city next Friday! Mahalo
-
Does anyone know when Princess is going to release these sailings?
-
After I typed that I looked to edit but couldn't. That's what I thought, but if those trips aren't open how do they sell them?
