  1. This cabin is still available on our March 2023 28day on the Crown. We have our favorite, E730!
  2. I booked 5 cruises on the 14th for 2024 Europe. Yesterday I paid $4000 in deposits, not that big of a deal as my 3 Aus/NZ had to be cancelled after Princess cancelled the last one SYD-HKG. This am I go to check my bookings and see $100 deposits and $100pp for balcony rooms and $150pp for mini. I called right after opening and first agent kept me on hold "trying to figure out what she could do" for around 15mins till hang up. Called back and 2nd agent got me all the OBCs added on the 5 cruises in about 5 minutes. It all depends on who you get.
  3. Pre dry dock problems have been posted and posted. Post dry dock is a whole different case. It's been posted that the cruises post dry dock have gone out without speed or vibration problems. Guess we'll find out on our 28day cruise in our favorite Emerald deck mini. We too like the vibration in the aft cabins.Cruise ships entering LA ports have to adhere to slower speeds due to wildlife, believe what you want.
  4. Princess cancelled our 21day Sydney-Hong Kong in April 2024 to move Majestic back to Alaska. Had to cancel our other 22 days ahead of that one.
  5. On Carnival, you can bet that you'll find several drunks sleeping in the the clam shells.
  6. Depending on the type of room you book, the pencil to paper comes pretty close. Mini is $17pp a day Internet is $10pp or 50% for Elite, 1 drink package $70.79. The total is $124.79 a day for 2. Elite would be $104.79 for 2. If you don't drink $70.79 a day, of course it's a better deal to go Standard. I do like my beers, specialty coffee and water. I probably do come close to making the drink package worth while. My wife doesn't drink much, except coffees, waters and a Billini or 2 at dinners. A port intensive cruise would make the package not worthwhile if we planned to get off on every stop.
  7. They do open at midnight pst, BUT thats tonight for others non Elite to book. Itineraries will show for all, just will have a red "Pricing not available"tag until midnight tonight.
  8. Thread drift, but what were the Formal nights on the 28day cruise? Mahalo
  9. Used the Blue Painters tape on the Royal and it worked great. Easy on, Easy off. My wife liked the lights till we went to bed, then I'd slide the cap back over the sensor.
  10. We've also been in the "new" mini's and liked the extra space. We have 28days coming up on the Crown and was hopeful in dry dock they had made the change. Mahalo for the update.
  11. Too bad, I was hoping they had moved the TV's to the walls like other ships freeing up the tower thing. Just a small thing.
  12. Dumped all my dinner reservations for our Sept cruise.Had to input each day, couldn't do for whole trip. The one day I couldn't input is our turnaround day in Southampton, which just happens to be my wifes birthday.
  13. I was 3rd youngest to take covid "early out". 62 and 2 months when I punched. Now if Princess would stop cancelling my plans. Happy retirement, I'm loving it. Aloha!
  14. If you google Princess Cruise Bar Menus, there is a listing of the 2022 menu and Yes it does include Coke/Diet Coke. I missed out on the 10. I got hired at the "Cobra" airline in 91, but took to the friendly skys instead. Still ended up at NATCO in Feb for training. That sucked!
  15. Smart watch has to be synced. I always have mine on to track activity and sleep cycles. I sync it with ship internet while at sea or while in port. On the ship, it ,might come up to the right time remembering the ship time and local or position time might not be the same. I always just check my watch against ship time on TV. After 40yrs of airline flying, I'm used to adding or subtracting on my watch face time. A simple watch can give you all you want without the worry.

    Cbd

Chief, I respect and appreciate your vast knowledge, but you're a little off on this one. CBD, has no THC ( the active drug shunned in marijuana ) in it if it is true CBD. In the republic of California, CBD if sold in a reputable store, has no THC ( the active "high" producing drug) in it. If bought from a California legal dispensary that sells marijuana products any CBD product will by law have THC in some quantity. Therefore if you use the products from a dispensary you will most likely test positive on a drug screen. I'm not advising either way but have used CBD products rather than prescription opioids for medical reasons and have passed DOT testings. Drug dog usage has been greatly reduced since the relaxation of marijuana rules as a dog doesn't know between a gram, or a pound, so enforcement has become a problem. Again... true CBD doesn't have THC in it but has been pointed out, is still "illegal"on most ships. Look for the leftover cream bottles at the pickleball courts.
  17. My wife likes to travel with her jewelry. Don't like the idea of leaving her things in a room without a safe, or even a front desk safe. I didn't even think of this till reading reviews of hotels and a review stated that only complaint on the Premier Inn West Quay was room didn't have a safe. Made me wonder about others and websites aren't too helpful. Mahalo!
  18. Bait and switch in reverse. They take their chance people won't re-fare. Any time frame when these will show up on Princess site? Mahalo for posting these.
  19. Do you know if the Premier Inn rooms have safes in them? Couldn't find anything on their website, and no email to send questions to. Mahalo
  20. On a previous cruise when we gave wait staff an envelope they asked for last name and cabin#. I asked why and was told if the person giving the envelope or cash had opted out of standard gratuity then the money went back into the pool. If not, then into their pockets.
  21. You can walk into downtown and go to Walmart. China Town is a little shaddy, with homeless and drug deals. Iolani Palace and the Hawaiian Mission houses are a decent walk. Uber or Lyft to Ala Moana. You can walk around the center, or around the park across the street. You most likely be at Pier 2, turn left and walk down to Aloha Tower. Lunch on the dockside.
