good point made...how many come back and why? We used to switch off between X and Royal C...but one cruise on Oasis convinced us to stick with X. It was too big, mall like, crowded, we needed to pre reserve events, but waited on lines anyhow... more family oriented activities.....food and service not comparable to X..and the adult only area out back was not as nice as X Solarium... if we stray..it will be on Cunard..again.

Cv is a major cruise port.. was not always well organized..used to be a tent. Maybe you should stick to cruises from the "usual" ports..but of course it will not be new and exciting!

No. it does not include thermal suite access .If it is set up like EDGE and BEYOND, . once you check in there is a small waiting area near the front desk.The therapist comes to meet you there. . You have paid for a specific service..not thermal suite entry.. Entry would require purchase of a pass unless you are sailing in AQ Class. Arrive 10 min ahead to check in and sign forms. On other ships.( S Class) .you can wait in the Relaxation Rm but not E Class..

off topic...sorry.. Jim, We are waiting to hear your review of Cunard..We want to catch a crossing when they feature the Royal Ballet. I liked the food.( QM2) but .Sal thought too much fish. We.both loved the Fancy Tea as well as the Pub for lunch! Shows all professional quality!

what type of ear plugs are good for sleeping? ones I looked at are for loud concert sound...maybe we need both

We are also interested in the final side by side conclusions. I noticed a blue " bracelet" with a fob.. is that req on MSC.. ? Not something I would enjoy wearing..esp on dress up nights..

don't they show games on the tvs in the bars in or near the casinos... some ships have a sports bar where you can buy lite pub fare.. others show "big games" on the big screen in the theater or at roof top area Retreat should be a nice gathering area for suite guests .... maybe the ad description should be updated to avoid inaccurate expectations! and let's not even go to the Pickleball issue...put it in the basement!

We will be in AQ Class on Ascent so we could not enter the RETREAT to share info.. Posting on CC is a good start! We will also ask our Roll Call group to post any issues they experience. Hope things are smooth sailing for all.of us! With BEYOND, I suggested that a sticky be created, but did not happen.. Maybe a "Creaky Cabin" sticky could cover BEYOND and ASCENT! (needs approval) An deck overlay would be great but seems like alot of work and research, as no one seems to have a list. Sounds like a design flaw or quality control issue ?? We are booked on APEX for 2025, but after that we'll avoid E Class..Def not booking XL anytime soon.

Would you be able to share some of the AQ Class cabins that have been mentioned??? or a way others could find out? ( many of us ONLY read and post on Cruise Critic). if not, we understand..but this has dampened pent up enthusiasm to say the least!

it would.. I am not on the website where specific cabins are listed so must ask folks here to help out..If someone is on that site for Ascent maybe they could share the AQ Class cabin nos they heard about.

A post on the "BEYOND CREAKY" thread claims that 100 rooms on ASCENT have reported creaking issues which are causing sleepless nights for cruisers. The noise, allegedly, comes from behind walls, in the ceiling with lots of banging. Guest Services responses and failed attempts to rectify are also mentioned. If anyone can post any general or specific info here, it would be helpful. We are paid in full for a Jan 28th Ascent cruise in AQ Class..Hoping for the best and ordering ear plugs..planned to use them for the shows and hope not to aid sleep. Wonder if anyone from Cruise Crituc is looking into these issues?
