  1. thanks..Great post! Is XL bigger than the others? Looks like XL may be more crowded but maybe the 83 cabins lost in concierge, and Inf Verands Class will equal to added AQ and Suites? (pricier accomodations!) ... Not good at numbers sorry! BLU and suite areas like Luminae, Retreat inside and outdoor/ pool area may be more crowded and less exclusive, unless expanded???
  2. we went up ( younger back then) but could not do tunnels.. claustrophobia.. the geology there is the Prize!
  3. I respect it is British but most folks we ran into seemed neither British or Spanish...more Arabic/ French speaking ..like in Marseille. It is breathtaking as one passes the " rock". A def one time MUST!

short 5 day inaugural on XL..might be a good taster as the reg routes are same as other Celeb itins. Anyone here understand the new fuel system?
  5. We have a different set of memories. Entry to the port area was impeded by a sunken ship that no one was rushing to remove! In addition to the monkeys beware of the rude aggressive cab drivers ! Watch your wallets! The natural features are stunning.. lots of opps for hiking, rock climbing, caves. Also used to have glass blowing and there's a pos affect on VAT tax Other than that, we could easily never go back. Even if its been cleaned up, it is what it is....
  6. all ew! that's why I go in the Solarium pool and hot tub early in the day; and the outdoor pool on port days before the crowds come back.. Same for communal pools and hot tubs at our Fl place. my husb is even more careful..only goes in our dtr's family pool.
  7. its not about the gifts and goodies! you might prefer the Art tour..lots of gifts..no food goodies!
  8. photos are coming through great.. food looks nicely presented...no skimpy veggies!
  9. Also posted on Engine Rm thread: the Behind the Scenes tour on EDGE was wonderful. Small group.. mini presentations at each area, headphones. It is a long tour with alot of walking including interior stairs..although they have some spots where elevator is possible. Well worth the time and money! We toured dining rms, kitchens but no meal for our group

  16. looking forward to Silhouette..Concierge.. We were on here awhile ago..nice vibe!
  17. we did two on EDGE..BEYOND..ASCENT soon and will catch up to APEX Jan 2025 .. Not rushing to jump on XL yet
  18. That's what they all say.. Our grandboys are a bit wild (normal for their ages 7 and 3 ), but they would not be still or quiet..in the Solarium They enjoy all sorts of family friendly resorts like Great Wolf where they are free and happy.!
  19. Interesting.. we are in same age group & had same reaction to Infinity some years ago...old dated look all around , A/ C failures, sewage issues, mildew.. food was def better yrs ago..! We have been happy on E Class (lively) but will also try Silhouette... it gets pos reviews!
  20. Great thread already. Let's keep it going! hcat( original EDGIE)
  21. Maybe you can cancel? We always book sep and pay ahead for time and date we want. All set for next cruise... My concern is if they will give priority choice to "package bookers" when the program changes.. If we can't get early specialty res we'll try to get res in the mdrs or become buffet foragers!
  22. I usually order Prime Rib at restaurants .. and Steak at Lawn Club Grill. Not big on beef otherwise other than grilled., but interesting to know.
  23. that would be worth extra it...do u add to the bill or cash?
  24. from Marinelink : Distinctive ship features and new experiences include: The Retreat, an exclusive resort-within-a-resort area for suite guests, highlighted by a two-story sundeck. Accommodations for modern tastes from modern two-story villas with private plunge pools to staterooms with infinite verandas, blurring the boundaries between indoor and outdoor living. An expanded Rooftop Garden and stunning Resort Deck featuring unique cantilevered float pools. A multi-level, multi-terraced Sunset Bar at the ship’s aft. An expanded onboard entertainment program featuring a transformative nightlife experience on the Resort Deck, six new live productions, interactive gaming experiences, and more. A redesigned casino floor and brand-new games. A new outdoor dining terrace at Blu, the brand’s clean cuisine restaurant for Aqua Class guests, available for al fresco daytime dining. A newly designed Le Voyage by Chef Daniel Boulud. And, the return of the Magic Carpet, an engineering feat soaring cantilevered above the sea, offering guests uninterrupted vistas while sipping cocktails or having dinner. Most Interesting was the description of BLU having an outdoor dining terrace.." available for al fresco daytime dining" Hmm wonder if it will be lunch for AQ Class only, or available to all...for extra charge???
  25. if its a popular excursion take care ahead of time..
