  1. Amazing Photos....Great looking fish. So healthy in one's diet. . I have fish for breakfast most days,.lox ( smoked salmon), herring, sardines
  2. generally yes...but on our last cruise night we had an amazing quiet corner table in Cosmo..great service..not very crowded on the last night
  3. i would suggest booking all nights in advance.. you can change or cancel on board but at least you have res secured
  4. Folks will start lining up way before the time ship telks you to,, Eat as early as possible, go back ti the room and grab your luggage and head to lineup, So many take this option it can be very crowded and chaotic. Suite guests go first, then wheelchairs...then gen self disembark, Main benefit is that you have your luggage with you..travel light.
  5. we agree, based on EDGE, our favorite is TUSCAN..love the smaller size , ambiance, decor, art music..great views. Food and persinal service was top notch.. 2nd fav is Cyprus, also smaller feels cozy..also good food and service! the larger ones are ok but have more 2 seats along in a row.. not very private..In Cosmo..they serve breakfast and lunch..may be better time to experience it but do not miss the art and collections... Normandie also interesting for at least one visit.
  6. How terrible, but glad u are okay minus the sunglasses.. We had a similar scary experience in Old Town Barcelona. We wanted to visit the Old Synagogue..but access down a narrow lane led to a group of "gypsies" in blue jeans. They started to surround us . We realized it , and were able to escape. Sadly, they also had a group ready to pounce at an alt street...so sadly we missed going to the synagogue... Barcelona and Rome both have crafty pickpockets and thieves, in town, markets, restaurants, trains,etc..must be on guard!
  7. we always booked refundable over the years but the price difference has led us to select NRD...so far we have done okay.. deposits have been smaller recently. in general, we are booking fewer cruises, and for now sticking with X
  8. we loved that bar on BEYOND..great location and ambiance. We found Luminae was fairly dark unless seated up front. Looking forward to ASCENT and then APEX..neither will be in suite class it was not something we need but enjoyed trying it!
  9. Quite versatile.. I gave up playing violin in college but I love the strings.. Always had an upright piano for anyone who cared to play but dtr switched to the cello. DH was a drummer ..just the typical high school / college bands. ..Can't wait to see what the grandsons will choose. Hope you enjoy the concert and the tulips
  10. For a maitre d it may be mostly about the menu items, but each dining room has its own ambiance and decor. We preferred the 2 smaller ones on EDGE..Tuscan and Cyprus...more intimate, The others were nice and each had lovely decor and art work, but seemed to have more long tables for 2 in a row..Unless you can get away from that, it is like summer camp. We pre book for all nights.4 mdr/ specialty. If you have to make a change it is ok but at least you have a res each night. . Cosmo was where they served breakfast and lunch..so we preferred elsewhere for dinner other than 1 night... ...
  11. Sounds like great plans! What instrument did Iain play.? Very exciting... For me the tulips will be the show stoppers!
  12. Agree..with all the comments. We would never pay for a pass for more than i day if any. If PG comes with AQ cass we will go a few times. Not as good as on S Class ships other than it does have a great locker room. Loungers are like a solar oven... Big miss is lack of a real T pool!
  13. Loved the latest photos..you are really seeing the sights! Glad we get to see them too!
  14. Top 10 thread! Will miss all the food porn,..qnd other great photis! Thanks again!
  15. And then using the bathrooms or grabbing a snack....taking their sweet time..very selfish!
  16. very nice.. did it include lobster? dh is allergic...too much food just for me
  17. going to entry early is best chance even without res We always prebook on E class but sometimes a change is needed
