  4. Charla..you are looking good.. love the pjs & the well coordinated red island outfit! I use KW Aloe products, and just received some of my favs via mail order from their Fla base. Arrived fast, fresh and well-packed KW is on our next cruise....The Sculpture Garden looks interesting..If we have time after our boat trip maybe we can check it out.

  7. more great pics and commentary..Thanks for bringing back old memories Although we had a very early arrivaI at Ephesus, I recall it was sooo hot at the old theater. I had to pass on climbing up and down ..Sal of course went for it! I was much younger then but the heat got to me ..Those who go in hot weather should have a hat & lots of bottled water and def go as early as possible...also less crowded. In the port, we enjoyed lunch at an old caravan " hotel" ..great meal, stunning architecture & .amazing tile work
  8. Charla.. of course you are not elitist..that's a service that should be expected in upper suites.. esp when we had it in a reg hump cabin.. Looking forward to seeing some more wardrobe pics... great sense of style..!
  9. Briiliant review of Athens great mix of gen info and personal impressions/ recollections. And then on to Ephesus...we loved both places. Good memories!
  10. B O N V O Y A G E no 2! let more fun begin suite altho dated looks great!
  11. Bestowed by CC on some posters..Forgot why,
  12. Great photos to cap Cruise #1.. and nice that you had very good luck at the casino! Hope it continues! Looks like everyone enjoyed a good time! Good Friends are like Family! Sorry about the work emergencies! I am mostly retired now..no more last min surveillances on Christmas Eve (early job) ....or emergency appellate motions & briefs. My dtr says " it must be nice"..but I worked since I was 15 yrs old and have no guilt! Husb also put in abt 40 yrs.. Time to fully enjoy!
  13. This should be the final post here.. Folks are aware and educated abd can figure out what works for them, the itin and price point!
  14. we changed cabins once from a midship location right under the band and dance floor.. all agreed it was unbearable.. It was not a suite but a bump out/ hump..primo( ha ha) New cabin was much quieter..closer to front of ship.. Our outgoing attendant and new one worked together to move everything except our personal carry-ons....while we were at dinner..It was smooth/ seamless! guess times have really changed!
  15. skip port.. sleep late... couples massage...enjoy the ship..Special Dinner...get dressed up & take a nice photo! .Nice gift for self.. there's a great selection.of special items from watches to wallets to clothing.. dh got a few goodies on ASCENT in mankind..I got a beautiful watch...it was my birthday! ENJOY YOUR SPECIAL DAY! We prefer going as a couple & not with a group!
  16. you can look for your ship and cabin category on line and see what they look like.. it's really not overly complicated. It could look like this but you have to search what u have
  17. so where did the put all the balcony loungers? the removed suite rocking chairs and really uncomfy balc chairs were dispersed around the ship..but not sure how many balc loungers were relicated? point of booking a Sunset Veranda cabin is to enjoy a lounger!
  18. how wonderful.. family is a blessing! glad you are enjoying each other!
  19. it looks awesome.. we like it as an early course with wine....guess order does not really matter.. Can't wait to hear about CoCo Cay!
  20. We tried a suite once..with our Covid credits but generally prefer AQ class. Now we will ve jumping around a bit due to pricing of AQ! For upcoming Silhouette 4 day , we took Prime Concierge..good location & will try the luncheon . We booked several Specialty dinner venues. On APEX we will go back to Sunset Veranda middle with 4 mdrs.. but will likely stick with Cyprus &/or Tuscan..the smaller ones. Agree with you about the 4 mdrs..very nice concept! for Eclipse, we broke our budget a bit and will go back to AQ. We like the S Class thermal area..and not keen on older ship mdr. nice to have choices!
  21. We have seen Captains push fancy jewelry store events & then pulling the winning raffle tickets..Doubt they were volunteers but they smiled! some may like it but seems to demean their status. We were also offered an opp to buy a photo w a Capt from our bridge tour ..we did not mind the solicitation but the tour was expensive..as was the photo..It would have been a nice gesture to give it for free but guess photo dept had its own costs. Cap and all staff we met on the tour were fine being in cruisers' photos..only areas off limits were security areas. Recently the constant attempts to push drink packages and upgrades have lessened, BUT we still get the "survey begging" quite a bit!
  22. very nice video..( it took awhile to load on my android)..patience needed! On Ascent, a huge improvement over other E ships, is the expanded Sunset Bar area.. It has lots of terraced seats, beautiful plants & awesome views. We think it's much nicer than the Rooftop Garden area, now often used for pickleball in daytime. ( Ship lacks a dedicated sports area inside or outdoors.)
  23. when everyone has priority..no one does! We generally avoid tender ports, but if we do pick one, we def book an excursion so we can go off with our group...usually ahead of most non- excursion cruisers Once at Gr Cayman on Reflection, we were staying on board & having a nice lunch with a view in B on 5.. .. Around 1:30 pm we heard them call the last tender number group..kind of a late start.
