that's one of the reasons we stopped cruising on Royal C. On Oasis, .everywhere we went we were given a heavy duty sales pitch. cookbooks, salad cruets, wine glasses, and so much more At a fancy family b day party in a Specialty venue for my husband, .the waiter actually held up the cake with candles ready to be lit, to pitch some type of wine aerator..Really crude and low class Guess he wondered why he did not get an extra tip!

They should put a BOLD notice in the Daily..so folks can decide what to do.. Am I correct that the local tax only applies when docked.. so stock up! It's like an added port charge!

Our cruise planner app drives us crazy to find cruises or book dining and excursions.. so if it's become worse..we will suffer along! sorry but it has always been bad!

We have not been on S Class in quite awhile....Is Q-sine still an entity ? or is it just Le Petit Chef? Q sine was a fav of ours but we have no.interest in LPC Guess they have to place Elite bkfst where it works best.. It was always in Tuscan on E Class but more recently has been held in the Bistro area

Agree.. We wince when we see the Captains pushing raffle tickets on board for the special Jewelry store events. It demeans their status as Master of the ship! Some like to be rockstars and popular with cruisers but being a brand ambassador is a step too far!

our Carib itin is RT Pt Ev to Antogua, St Maarten, Puerta Plata and early arrival at San Juan.. Not much new but a good beach itin..and maybe a day trip to El Junque rainforest???

we got clipped for a local Ca port sales tax for in-port, Specialty dining on a Pacific Coastal cruise. it was never disclosed or explained to us, so X found a way to give us a small credit!

you are looking good.! . Scary Uber Scam. 1st thing we do in any taxi or limo is take a photo of the driver's info and the meter, if any. Cab't trust everyone these dats..sad! Being from an older generation, a Pvt limo/ car service is our preferred ride in cities..esp Fort Laud, Miami, LA.. No guarantees but we believe our chances for comfort, safety and promptness are better and we use several companies we trust!

good thought.. by the time we settle in..do the muster check in, check spa and other res..it should be fine..esp for salads and a lite lunch.

guess, we will try the buffet when we cruise on ECLIPSE..seems the sushi place menu is more limited than Raw on 5..E Class.. and not many other choices! (we are paying so much for AQ Class with BLU included...no lunch there... we will try to limit our specialty dining costs!)

ha.. we did a land based vacation to Jolly Beach many yrs ago.. It was great back then.. We will probably take a Celebrity Beach excursion..any recs? visit ton2 beaches would be nice

I'd book with a reliable travel agent.. All this strategizing would make me dizzy, unless you enjoy this approach to booking a cruise . If you calculate wrong or wait too long you may be disappointed .... Book the best you can get and enjoy the cruise! That's what we do...

We liked Fine Cut and Rooftop Grill but EDEN was a standout! Always enjoy Raw on 5!

We believe she will get a light update/ refresh soon as posted above in this thread. Hope this is correct. We just booked a Carib cruise for 8 nights for Jan 2026. Prices were fairly high but we booked AQ Class plus Classic bev and wifi (not needed). At least we will have seats for breakfast & dinner! Oddly, ECLIPSE is the only S Class ship we never tried..but they are all probably quite similar.
