That's a shame. There are many useful benefits besides the cocktails. Check the list and Cap Club paperwork you receive in your cabin. Can't figure out, if Royal perks are much better, what brings so many Royal Diamonds cossing over to X? Many of the Elite events are very crowded.. among participants are Royal Diamond guests..

on ASCENT in Jan.. there was no limit in BLU and they de- shelled it. They were not huge but very tasty with plain melted butter. I also heard, not confirmed, that one could order the small lobsters as an appetizer (mdr) and then select a regular menu entree. Some Specialty venues have their own versions on the menu.. If folks crave it..they can just go to a reputable seafood restaurant and splurge!

thanks for all the great info. Surprised Normandie was so crowded.. it is a beautiful restaurant but high capacity! I enjoy the spa but for our next cruise, I will just do a facial..unless massage prices come down. The discounted pre booking slots were rare and at awkward times!

How crowded are the pool areas? Outdoor was packed on Ascent with loud music and activity all day. Solarium was good early am for an hour or two..When it filled up in the pool and loungers. there was a loud din, so.we left.. We had a great cruise, but it was difficult to find peaceful areas.

Wish we could keep Cruise Critic sep from FB.. FB is much less controlled and too free wheeling...! We do not use it! In my opinion,.it has ruined and diminished the CC roll calls..sad. . FB folks who were not on the active CC roll call for our last cruise, jumped in at the last minute, with conflicting events & looking for folks to participate b/ c they did not have enough on their own. It was confusing..

Locker room is not huge..but adequate..showers and toilet booths too. The steam rm and other Thermal suite amenities require a daily/ weekly pass or AQ Class status. We were so content relaxing on our ASCENT cruise in AQ Class..we never used the Thermal suite or the gym! Found a few quiet spaces.

Yup Sometimes it is better to get new, esp before a possible crisis! We just replaced our Home Computer.. The data Transfer is Underway with the GEEK squad. Our existing custom designed set up was quite old. and not supported by any updates. Sadly no more CD roms will work on the new one..HP..but our lap top in Fl still has one if needed. I also updated my Samsung Tablet..The old one was perfectly fine, but my book reader program LIBBY needed a newer version tablet. Can still use old tab for an extra. It is traumatic to upgrade but then amazing to enjoy new tech! Even for lo tech folks like me. Counting down to the start of Jim's blog..and amazing photos!

But at least we are on this side of the fairway! Hope all goes well!

Seems there is a new communication stone wall ... On Ascent, we were refused an Attention to Detail card to compliment a staff member..We were told to use the QR scan button in the Newsletter and do an online form. We did but never had any acknowkledgement or feedback that our comments were recieved! Very impersonal! Next time we will find notepaper and drop off a note at GR..despite them!

confused..So Sapphire is a gambling level status not post Diamond Plus..cruise points. size of lounges and venues do not increase but seems new people with some status are added every day. We stopped attending E plus " exclusive" events.. too crowded!

Good one.. folks who MUST have these items on vacation should stay home! Medical devices can apply for exceptions.

onboard spa specials are supply and demand..often they are combo treatments. I book ahead but always alert for a giid value on board!
